US Vogue Winter 2023 : Florence Pugh by Colin Dodgson

That's a lot of Max Ortega for one issue. Thank you, next b****h.

"Is there no budget this time around?"

Call Grace, Tonne, or Camilla, or don't even bother.

I'm a big fan of Max Ortega's work please! Just went through the issue and he's actually varied enough. You wouldn't think it's by the same stylist. It looks like he's definitely the headline stylist for American Vogue now and I endorse it. I really like Go Big. Great styling and photography, quite artistic. The Beckham story is the worst edit in the issue.

Anna's letter nearly put me to sleep. The entire letter is dedicated to Florence Pugh. And in case you don't pick up that Anna is obsessed, Florence's story got a whopping 12 pages. Odd for an issue with only 112 pages. The ad next to her letter which is one of the most expensive pages after the covers is Svarovski. Ad highlights are Kim K sporting fried hair for Dolce, back-to-back Kate Moss double-page ads for Bottega and Marc Jacobs, and an effortlessly gorgeous Max Mara campaign.

American Vogue's front section is exceedingly basic. Some incredibly inane writeups about Emma Chamberlain x Lancome and Rafael Nadal launching a vanity perfume. Basically the type of stuff you'd expect in Good Housekeeping.

Vogue died , I admire those Who try to revive... Here are a few .

I hate to say it, but the Beckham-Peltz editorial doesn't look bad at all in print. And I like "Go Big!" (the backdrop is the Alex Katz show at the Guggenheim, so it looks good by default) and the cover story. Both Norman Jean Roy features are very well done, too. The most disappointing part of the issue, for me, is the lack of ads lol

When two actors have more chemistry than the real couple…

Anna, please put more content to your magazine  70 pages of content almost every month is not enough :cry:

Max Ortega reason to exist at Vogue...next episode on "Mysteries Unsolved"...lol...he can became into anything Anna wants, he is the perfect puppet for her...to be fair, he is not that bad just generic, specially for Vogue...

A truly dire offering from American Vogue. You'd think for a double issue there would be double the content. Almost sat here in a state of shock over how dire this once-great magazine has become (and still relieved I've stopped buying).

The Biden feature which was released online back in November 2021... talk about filling the issue to bump up the already-low page numbers. The fashion content is borderline pathetic. Alex Webb's feature is horrible and the inclusion of the Peltz-Beckham couple just adds insult to injury. How Anna Wintour and anyone else at American Vogue thought this was worthy of the paper it's printed on is just beyond me.
