Valentino F/W 10.11 : Freja Beha, Monika Jagaciak & Tati Cotlar by David Sims

Watch all are very boring campaing and no are a great concept a style to Valentino

I absolutely hate this. The clothes aren't even photographed well. I don't understand why a woman would look at these ads and want to buy the clothes. Ridiculous.

You know Valentino campaigns are going downhill when the shots are black'n'white. This is so ridiculously boring for Valentino. I mean let alone the fact that they're using the most uninspiring models on the face of the planet, how could you separate colour from Valentino. It's so..... sacrilegious
Maybe they're trying to reinvent Valentino or something, but even then they'd need to have some transition period from the old stuff. This is way too quick. That's why I liked Alessandra. She did such a good job of transitioning from Garavani's retirement.

Ugh this is terrible!
Those naked images are completely useless and stupid, people will talk about how those girls look extremely unhealthy and blah blah blah and this will generate only more buzz around the new Valentino image
Then I just don't get the point of doing 2 version of the same shots, one naked and one full dressed,I guess the naked one are going to be published on more "artistic" magazines
I also want to point out how Freja Beha is versatile, here we go another picture of her showing a tattoo...and then people say they don't choose her just because she's a rebel  it's so hypocrite!

The concept is good but the actual campaign was bad executed.:ninja::shock: Those nude shots are terrible!

this campaign is so weird
the retouching is very bad,
freja's shots look like they were shot together with the maxmara campaign,
while some of jac's shots look like they're from the last CK campaign... oh wait, it's by sims! that explains it

the naked shots are completely pointless
Freja looks like a p*rnstar
JAC looks like some peeping tom got her
and Tati looks like some vulnerable girl

The eyewear shots are the only satisfactory things in this campaign
thy should have done shot with all the girls together

The campaign is voyeuristic gone totally wrong.
The nude shots feel creepy and/or overly intrusive. How is that gonna make me want to buy Valentino?
Plus, the casting here is super awkward. Feels very underaged, though at least Freja's shots are awkward verging on hilarious. Nuff said.

I don't know what to think about it actually..On the one hand, I quite like it, something different and memorable, but perhaps a little strange too ..

As someone previously said, this is a good concept badly executed.

The nude shots could give the campaign a poetic feeling improving the actual clothes shots but instead of that, they make them worse than they are, looking completely pointless and lacking of direction. It seems like they couldn't decide what to project with these ads and went with the two ideas without having a link to connect both ideas.

Exactly. I don't have an issue with nudity in ads. In fact, I loved the Dsquared2 ads this season and it utilizes a lot of nudity. However, this feels exploitative. Jac is a young girl and Tati looks like one in her shots. At least Freja looks like an adult. If they had just used the shots on the right, it would have still been a bad campaign, but it wouldn't have left me feeling like I just witnessed something I shouldn't.

I do get all your points but one can' help noticing what a stunner FREJA is:heart: in this nude shot. hopefully it will make it to the season's catalogue.

To be honest, I paid more attention to the mantelpiece. But I am old.

The nude shots are so unnecessary  I'm not sure about the clothing shots, I really did not like this collection, and they're so upfront about it (although that's a good thing most of the time). And yeah, like tigerrouge, at least they picked a nice place to shoot.
