I will probably never be completely satisfied with anything they do because I'd rather have Valentino himself, or Alessandra. But since both are impossibilities I will continue to occasionally complain and wish that maybe someday they can blow me away. Is that asking too much???

Very pretty collection. IMO their best. Looks more like Valentino, and the red touch is beautiful.

No one anywhere, anytime, anyhow will ever match The Last Emperor but this was a pleasant and gorgeous collection nonetheless, considering all the other flops in this season.

Haha I find it hilarious people were already saying it was terrible after the first picture.

The ruffles are a little bit overboard but there is nothing really wrong with this collection as a whole. It is a hit or miss (to agree with ^), but you can tell they are getting much much better. It is very sell-able and will probably be all over and in magazines this fall. But please people, Give them a chance and stop jumping on the bandwagon because everyone else has.

After Valentino's previous collection, I was expecting another disaster. This one is acceptable. Nothing new or to get excited about, but pretty enough.

They finally made it!This is the first REAL Valentino collection they have ever done.
It suits perfectly the whole Valentino mood and aestethic,it's romantic,sleek and sophisticated,without trying too hard with tons of ruffles(remember last spring collection??).It's all very focused

so they are finally getting consistent on "one" vision it seems.
it's not quite yet polished, but i guess it takes time to perfect it.
some of the ruffling and the leather is beautiful. The lace and transparency is a bit to provocative (in a Tisci way) for valentino. Some of the looks of their previous prefall were like that too, although it must be said that looked much much cheaper.
it looks clean and a bit fresh and not a mess like couture. one step forward for the baggybaguette couple

Both the collection and designers will be regarded more objectively if it weren't for Valentino...this collection is ok,but let me say..it is not ok for Valentino.

this is simply a failure on all counts. yes, it's not as HORRIFYING as the pre-fall collection they put forward. sure, it's not as jarring as the couture collection. however, it's simply subpar FOR ANY house to put forward as a ready-to-wear collection let alone the esteemed house of VALENTINO. applying ruffles in a technically expert way does not encapsulate the spirit of valentino. seriously, their spring/summer collection actually had something to say and once it made it through the advertising, editorial, and celebrity mash up, it actually stood up. this collection just looks weak in comparison. i mean, is this sad attempt at a flat what valentino has been reduced to?
