Not one drop of red is a surprise. Yet, I think all of the looks are excellent.

I can't believe that I'm writing this but I'm in LOVE with this collection. Every piece of it is perfection to me. It's so dark, mysterious, sexy... A true winter couture miracle.

I dont see a coherent line in this collection
it seems jumpy, from each outfit to another, is like they jumped...
doesnt get the Valentino feeling at all!

Plus its not very modern...
the best part are the mini dresses,
but that's because we know its a super-trend

Valentino must be MAAADD!

Terrible.I won't sleep at night.
It looks like a mix of McQueen, Cavalli and I don't know who else.
Everything is just terrible:lace, feathers , geometrical shapes, chiffon.
I was expecting something better.

Compared to their previous efforts, this is brilliant... but that's not saying much. Some of the shorter pieces are pretty sexy but there is way too much black, used too bulkily in most parts, and nothing quite drop dead.

An improvement, sure, but they're going to have to try harder next time.

I LOVE this collection!
Although this isn't very Valentino I think that they have improved so much since their last collections.

It's a step up and a very beautiful one.

Some of the effects achieved with the lace and transparencies are really nice.

This collection appeals to me, it being dark and romantic and fairy-tale like, but it's very confusing for this to be under Valentino's name.

I can't imagine Valentino condoning this.

Fantastic, it seems people at Valentino realised they cannot live from archives and let this duo do its work.

It´s couture, feels modern, touches of underwear like at Dior (emerging trend anyone?), and there is plenty to choose from and tone down for clients.

Pier Paolo even changed his look to a more modern style!

I bet Valentino is SEETHING! Looking at the pictures, the collection is not as bad as I had previously judged. But it still isn't good. It looks like a rendition of Givenchy gone foul to me, with a bit of Giambattista Valli thrown in for bad measure. I really don't think Piccioli and Chiuri will be around long after this. Valentino is too much of an egomaniac to allow for such drastic diversions from the house's aesthetics.

LOL at the second from last dress.

In order: Confused, boring and ugly.
The only pieces I'd like to see more of are the simple coats with the ruffles showing behind.
This is really bad.

Some nice touches, some decent pieces, but overall, a lot of the shapes look awful to me. They're still at the learning stage, and they've still got some distance to go.

I think the hair and make-up isn't great either, but that's a purely personal preference for more glamour.

Well Alessandra tried to update the house and she got fired. If nothing happens to these two for this then I'm going to be so annoyed. I can't imagine Valentino jumping for joy at this collection.

I don't hate it. The collection is quite interesting it's just not Valentino.
