This type of image is not one that is suited for photographers like M&M. Inez & Vinoodh have proven themselves to be the masters of this concept. As for the post production, I would classify it as a mess. The overlapping models looks very juvenile and sloppy. On a positive note, Adut did an excellent job with the direction she was given. Unfortunately Imaan brings it down by looking like a constipated model on her first photoshoot. I'm shocked at how poorly she's modeling. What are those facial expressions? Who lied to her on set? As for the clothes, they really are not that bad. The jacket Imaan is wearing is chic and well tailored. The leggings are big no no, but the jacket and accessories distract from them. Adut's overall styling looks good. At least they used top models instead of a group of bored nobody's. Baby steps I suppose?
The composition of the images takes me back to Max Mara's Fall 2019 advertising campaign by Steven Meisel, but I'm not complaining. We have Versace, we have two fabulous models, we got Mert & Marcus and have bigger things going on in the world right now. I like it!
