Versace Mens F/W 08.09 Milan

This is like a really bad take on Mugler. And that heavy branding in the background is really tacky, but its understandable as it is versace.

I love it! That is sooo Versace! Those pieces look amazing.

The first white jacket was promising, but then that suede poncho popped up.

Some of it is good, kind of Patrick Bateman meets apres ski parka or something.....but a lot of this leaves me cringing.

I like that Versace is taking on the identity of Cloak, but I don't really like the whole aesthetic of Cloak to begin with...

That's kind of how I'm feeling.

These clothes look incredibly dated. I thought last season was quite clever and refreshing but I find this all terribly costumey and even a bit garish.

p.s. The women's and the men's collections take separate direction from different design consultants. I wouldn't use this as a gauge for the women's show.

These colours and cuts have been done for Versace for several seasons now and it depresses me. The catwalk is even the same. :ermm:

the short jackets are really nice
but the leather pieces.........

A couple things are really interesting. But on the whole it's pretty blah.

really disappointing considering the potential of the spring collection.

I wonder why the past few seasons Versace label so becoming a minimalist brand. No prints, No patterns, No fun

You want fun?

Try some tacky leopard prints and some homo leather. Then call it fun
