Versace Mens F/W 10.11 Milan

Actually, this bears a bit of a resemblance to some of her earliest collections, pre-2000. Her stuff then was very hard, very cold, and kind of futuristic. And her Versus line was always very tough and graphic. So while she's not the head designer for menswear, there is something very Donatella about this.

I'm honestly loving this, if only because it's so unexpected, so brash and in your face. Say what you will about Donatella as a person and as a designer, but when she decides to make a change she goes full tilt. This is easily the coolest, most relevant and most interesting Versace mens collection in a long time. It kind of reminds me of her F/W 2000 Fight Club collection.

You could very well be right. I can't say I am familiar with all her work, particularly the very earliest ones. Like everyone else, I love this collection a lot. It's slick, sexy without being vulgar and street, young without looking like something only teenagers could wear. I still suspect someone else did the major work for this collection. It's just so hugely different from we have seen on the runway from mens Versace the last several years. I don't know if anyone else feels the same, but to me it seems like this collection is what Gucci should be if it were still relevant fashionwise.

I think I would like this collection more if the styling was better. Plus this is a total letdown as far as Versace cast goes. What happened there? This is too drastic a change for Versace for me to handle.

I can feel already the spirit for the womans collection.
And this collection is so hard, rock, strong and powerful and Donatella chose same colors and materials as she did for the pre fall collection, so can´t wait till 26 February, that´s the date for the woman´s show.
