Dwight: Deadly little Miho. She won't let you feel a thing unless she wants you to. She twists the blade. He feels it.

As you can see, this is strictly an print work challenge with one photo. Winners of the last challenge can use any photo they want.

The theme is an movie and comic Sin City. I want dark and raw, film noir-like pictures where your model potrays one of the characters, male or female. If you can't find an exsisting character to go with your picture, then make up an one. You can also write an little storie about the city itself.

I also want you to add one or two quotes from the real movie. You can find quotes here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0401792/quotes

From the imdb page you can find pictures and plot outline too if you are not familiar with it. Also, you can PM me for questions etc.

This challenge requires some extra from them who haven't seen the movie/read the comics. But internet is helpful in this case too : aside imdb , there is also ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sin_city! Very helpful page, tells about the fictional city etc.

Time limit : 4 days.

Sin City, a place filled with people you'd best want to avoid. People of all kinds... but in the district of Old Town, you will mainly find the enforcers of that part of town: the prostitutes. Hot, beautiful young women, who know how to dominate and stand there man against anything. So, when there has been a series of prostitutemurders, the girls have got to take action. They capture someone who they believe killed the prostitutes, especially a certain Goldie, twin to our lovely Marta Berzkalna: Wendy.​

That is exactly what she is. Smokin' hot! And she has got you down in a sec... So when Wendy captures the possible killer Marv - with whom Goldie was found dead in bed after a night full of sex - she knows how to leave an impression.​

Marv: Wait a second, Why'd she call you Wendy?
Wendy: Because that's my name, you ape. Goldie was my sister. My twin sister.
Marv: I guess she was the nice one.​

That's right, Marv had slept with Goldie and Wendy had fooled Marv, making him think she was Goldie. Cunning and sexy as she is, Wendy can smoke any man out!​

Terrified, a new character in the series, Agatha, has run home upset after a night of being ogled to the point of disgust. The one person she loves is nowhere to be found, he is miles away talking about her ​

'The wind rises, electric. She's soft and warm and almost weightless. Her perfume is a sweet promise that brings tears to my eyes. I tell her that everything will be all right. That I'll save her from whatever she's scared of and take her far, far away. I tell her I love her. '​

as agatha starts to cry in frustration and throw things around her apartment, pounding noises surround her house and she looks out the window. A criminal, bathed in black, sees her, and she sees him.​

[silenced gunshot]

The life fades from her eyes as her blood, pink as a fresh rose, hits the walls.
Miles away, in an instant..it's as if he knows​

'The silencer makes a whisper of the gunshot. I hold her close until she's gone. I'll never know what she was running from. I'll cash her check in the morning. '​

What agatha was running from, why she was killed...that's for me to know and you to find out.

Challenge 8 Sin City

John Hartigan was in jail for being framed by the powerful Roarks as a child killer.
The 11 year-old girl he had saved, Nancy Callahan, his only friend left, had sent him
a letter every week until one day they stopped coming. Months later an envelope came
which contained a human finger. Thinking that Nancy was in trouble he confessed
to the murders so that he could get out on probation. Looking for Nancy at her last
known address, John Hartigan arrived at Kadie's Club, a strip club/bar.

John Hartigan: I'm looking for Nancy Callahan?
Shellie: Eyes to the stage, pilgrim. She's just warming up.

Looking in the direction the barmaid had pointed he saw a beautiful young
woman, dressed in a skimpy cowgirl outfit, made complete with a lasso,
on the stage next to a pole. As he walked over Nancy recognized him at
once. She jumped into his arms and kissed him.

Realizing that they had been set up by the Roarks, so they could
locate Nancy, John Hartigan quickly takes Nancy away to a motel
where she tries to seduce him without suceeding.

Before they know it the door flies open and a disformed Roark Junior barges in.
He quickly leaves John Hartigan, with a noose around his neck, to die knowing that it
is all his fault that Nancy will also die. As they left Hartigan pleaded with Nancy.

John Hartigan: [to Nancy] Whatever he does to you: don't scream.

Junior took her to his family's private farm, tied her up, and viciously beat
her with a bullwhip, but she refused to scream; when Junior flew into a frustrated
rage at her silence, she figured out that he had to make his victims scream
in pain or he wouldn't get pleasure out of it, and mocked him for it.

Junior: Do you think I'm tired? You think I'm getting tired? You're the one whose
gonna crack! You'll crack! You'll cry and beg! You'll Scream!
Oh, yeah, you'll scream, you big, fat, ugly cow! You'll scream!
[Leans in closer]
Junior: You thinking the whip was the worse I could do? That was foreplay.
Nancy Callahan: Hartigan was right about you. You can't get it up unless I scream. You're pathetic! You're pathetic.
Junior: It's not wise at all to make fun of me like that. It brings out the worst in me.
[Raises knife]


Just then, Hartigan, who had miraculously survived and escaped,
burst in and saved Nancy, beating Junior to death. After Hartigan
promised her that he would tell the world what had happened and
destroy the Roark family, they shared a deep, passionate kiss. After she
escaped, however, he realized she would never be safe as long as the Roarks
were looking for him, and committed suicide.

P.s. I know this is very very long. But since I have never seen the movie, I just read
the story and reworded it. I hope that is ok. If not let me know and I will redo my entry.

Ok, here is a run down of the characters since a few people have asked me for help.
Nancy Callahan - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nancy_Callahan - Abducted when she was 11, Nancy is saved by Hartigan, whom she falls in love with. She becomes an exotic dancer, and years later meets Hartigan again. She is then abducted again and Hartigan is the only one who can save her.

Miho - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miho_(Sin_City) - female assasin in Old Town, who protects the girls of old town.

Becky - One of the prostitutes in Old Town. She is a traitor though, and is secretly working for the Colonel.

Marv - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marv - scarred face, violent and suffers from a mental conditions which causes him to become confused easily

Dwight McCarthy - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwight_McCarthy - Bad temper, don't know nuch about him. Is friendly with the girls in Old Town.

John Hartigan - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Hartigan - Ex-cop, who was set up to take the blame for Nancy's abduction. Sees Nancy as a daughter, and wants to protect her.

Goldie and Wendy - The leaders of Old Town. Goldie is killed while asleep with Marv. Marv confuses Wendy for Goldie and thinks she is alive.

Jack Rafferty - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Rafferty - A cop who beats his girlfriend, Rafferty has no respect for women

Shellie - A barmaid who always seems to pick the wrong men.
