This looks like a Self Service cover... but I still quite like it
I agree with iluvjeisa, this is so Vogue Paris! It looks very Roitfeld-Vogue Paris-Alt-Testino. The editorial team need to spend less time looking at Vogue Paris back issues and start focusing on creating a dynamic and interesting magazine on its own terms.
Ever since Clements left, Vogue Australia has felt far too derivative of other international additions. So maybe she was a little bland, but at least her aesthetic was somewhat Australian in feeling!
Besides, "the return of curves" and Lara Stone? Seriously? So irrelevant! And please I hope there isn't an editorial on pregnancy and fashion! I mean, can they be any more obvious in stealing Carine Roitfeld's aesthetic and ideas? So embarrassing.
With a more unexpected model it could have been cool and interesting, but with Lara it just feels lazy, and we're left to compare it to one of her gazillion covers for other magazines.
This issue marks the start of the Model Series, consisting of five collectable editions featuring international supermodels on our covers (including some Australians, but we will keep you guessing), each shot by a different photographer. I hope you will collect all five and keep them in the beautiful purpose-designed box that will be on sale next month with our April issue.
