Vogue France April 2025 : Vittoria Ceretti by Carin Backoff

I like this, it is a bit sensual and a bit provocative imo. However, I think that the new VF could easily stray into the bland category with its covers.

I mean it’s tragic… the styling is non existent here…fully aware Vitto was a top model before Leo too but someone else could’ve easily be on this cover and SERVE … literally anyone else

Vittoria is one of my favorites, but this is worse than I thought at first. How is this in Vogue?? What happened to Vogue France?

Once i ve heard about new Alastair`s position i instantly thought: when will he drag his new passion Carin into the magazine like he did in I-D with his ex-wife Amy Troost? well, he didn't keep himself waiting long, you could say that it happened already in the second issue after the announcement of his position in vogue. Still, it was necessary to pay tribute to the business mastodon and long-time partner Mario Sorrenti first. all this nepotism is kinda annoying and to be honest, i normally love Alastair styling and i purchased I-d (quite luckluster) only because of his shootings and styling. Cant say that i enjoy it nowadays, he missed his Mojo last few years once he started dealing with Bottega, Gucci, Moschino. His styling lost its identity.

Never owned a playboy magazine in my life but isn’t Playboy some sort of erotic, sexy magazine? Isn’t this what this edition is trying to display?

Speaking as someone who'll look at most types of magazine, whenever you saw a print edition of Playboy or Penthouse going 'indie' it was always a sign they were in their death throes.

Alastair McKimm is a serious nepo-generator. Carin is Alastair’s current girlfriend, which I presume is how she landed a French Vogue cover—just like Amy Troost was getting i-D editorials when she was married to him. Carin doesn’t belong in French Vogue, just like Amy didn’t belong in i-D. It’s so disappointing.

that is weird...actually his appointment is weird, i would have prefer to see someone unknown than Alastair as Fashion Director...

more shocked by the overreaction than the pics. this is diet bad taste. if Claire wants to try this route and be a provocatrice, i wanna be offended.
but in all fairness, a beautiful girl stripped to her tights, ravaged by life and trying to revert the damage with cheap hair dye is exactly what Vogue France is right now, there's some self reflection there..

Some people here aren't going to like this, all but one editorial is by Carin Backoff
