Vogue Italia April 2011 : Kristina Salinovic by Steven Meisel

My first thought was that it looks like some random edition of Vogue, not really VI.
hmm maybe it will grow on me.

Well I suppose after M&M shot her she was bound to do something else big...she's up and down for me.

I'm only excited about this being styled by Edward Enninful...his first VI editorial with Meisel in nearly 3 years...hopefully it's not OG.

wow. no. hopefully it has decent editorials. it'll be hard to beat last month's issue which was AMAZING.

To me there is something about Kristina that beams STAR, and I am excited because a VI cover is one step in getting her there, but I agree with the sentiment that this is a cheap cover. She looks great, although either a different pose or a different outfit would be better, but are you :censored: kidding me with placing the comment, "What To Wear With What" in large, orange letters on the cover?

The only thing I like is orange/black contrast. I don't like the model at all and the text ruins it completely

i don't think the text is as bad as some make it sound like, i think though we're just so used to seeing so little text on VI covers. that said, i actually like how the orange just pops against the black backdrop, and the image itself is stunning.. although i fault the stylist for the repulsive clothes he made the model wear.. and kristina looks so different from her usual self here. i hope the content doesn't disappoint. :)

which reminds me, how on freakin' earth will they make the barcode fit now that the area of the magazine reserved for it is inundated with ultra large text?

 I bet they can find somewhere to squeeze it in right above the word "Combined."

Oh no Why all in english :'(
I know.. I don't mind a catchy title in English but it gets too much.. I hope they don't soon go from Italia to Italy, like in Vogue Nippon.

Cover looks like it belongs to Harper's Bazaar Russia. :innocent:

Meisel sometimes give us crap, and sometimes he give us something like this, very pretty

I'm not a fan of most VI covers, but I absolutely adore this. This is my favourite VI cover in a very long time. The way they used styling, makeup, colours, etc. The model is used almost like a canvas in this case.

to start, I have no idea who this girl is... and to be honest I don't like anything  the styling, layout bla bla easily forgottable.

What she's wearing offends me far more than the colour scheme or outsize writing. I see a pair of shoulders weighed down by a necklace that looks like a tropical sporran, teamed with underwear that has no shape at all. But from the neck up, she's all haughty attitude and ice-cold skin.

Whatt??? look very Anateur this cover very baaad i hate

It's usually expected to see unexpected cover from Vogue Italia, that will offer something that should be understood, that has some real story behind it, but for me this cover doesn't even belong to that "unexpected" covers, because in other cases everything was done perfectly. I don't get the exact idea of this cover but maybe they've tried to show us what Vogue cover shouldn't like, because it's a weird cover for me. Maybe cover story will tell us more...Well, I hope you understand what I wanted to say, even I'm confused now :D

That is literally one of the worst covers ever. Not a single element works. The styling, the clothes (or lack of), the makeup, the pose, the expression, the words, the font, the layout, everything is just so wrong. Wow.
