That is literally one of the worst covers ever. Not a single element works. The styling, the clothes (or lack of), the makeup, the pose, the expression, the words, the font, the layout, everything is just so wrong. Wow.

That's the resulf of choosing the most random model, the most random clothes, probably Meisel was drunk when he come up with this, I just google the model and she has such an interesting look, why the stylist don't use that to make the cover more edgy, I agree with some people this looks like a 90's cover, really this is the worst Vogue Italia cover EVER!

My first thougt was Crystal Renn's cover for Vogue Mexico actually

Regarding the barcode thing, maybe they had placed it on the opposite side from where it is usually placed. Under the letter E I guess.

i first REALLY noticed kristina last month in Interview's china girls. I love EvErYtHiNg about this cover except that stupid single ruffle top. Bleh and her pose is a little off.

I see no redeeming factors here. The layout is mundane, the styling is tacky and the overall composition is dated.
I suppose even Meisel has lapses of inspiration. Though I hope the editorial is better.

Yeah I agree, while not a great cover, I suspect that the hate of the Pixie cover is more about the model than the cover.

My nomination for recent times is the June 2010 cover.

lol i can think of about 5 recent VI covers that are worse than this.. although the new image does solve the dilemma of where the barcode will be placed.. i just hope they don't obfuscate the model's face with the VOGUE text, that would be too much.

Yep, I was actually referring to Pixie herself as the model on the cover that I hated, not the cover itself. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm one of the few loving this cover here..

I think Kristina looks fenominal.
The make-up is iconic.
The colors of the outfit and accessories are amazing.
The photography style is very interesting and different from what you'd excpect from Miesel.

The only thing I don't like a lot is the HUGE text.

the font for 'what to wear with what' is disgusting... really bad one... don't really care about the model cos I don't even know who she is...so nothing against her... I don't think it is very 90's...
