I really don't like the main editorial but that's probably because I don't like any of the models who are in it.

I like it. Like what happened during the F/W 2011 shows, I consider this a torch passing editorial. A day or so ago, this ed was deemed random and I commented that we had not seen the full ed, well now that I have seen the full ed, it is random. However, if you have strong models then you can pull off randomness, isn't this what the February issues of Vogue Paris are? The noteworthy thing here is that strong pieces are being shown and that Sasha, Daria, Karlie, Lara, Freja or Maria Carla were not called upon to pull it off.

Rather unfortunate the cover isn't that yummy as there are some really amazing portraits in the main editorial, the profile ones (sp Lindsey's ) , the cigarette shot of Kristina, both the headscarves and the wigs groupshots, the Daphne's veil shot and Lindsey's leopard top shot...
But something is missing somehow, or I am missing something, but I wish I'd see more of the story teller side of Meisel...

a black and white story, simple but great... typical Lindberghs work. Magdalena story is maybe the most strong thing in the whole issue. Ive never seen her face like that before, so Im in love
the main spread is great in print but nothing special.

Perhaps but maybe the hankering is coming from the fact that last month's cover ed was a storytelling one and it fell flat, at least it did IMO.

The cast of The IWC Story ed sounds interesting.

Jessica Alba looks surprisingly great (ignoring the fact that she gives the same face in each shoot). But are celebrities now going to take over editorials from models now? They already took covers and campaigns, now eds? Should we expect them to show up at Chanel and Gucci runways next?

Well who would have a thought that the main editorial in V.I. would be trumped by an editorial featuring Jessica Alba.......but there's the proof.
Jessica is very pretty, but I can't say I've ever thought she was sexy........until now. Stunning.
