Thank you for sharing, Flashbang. Very surprising choice !

Surprising cover model choice! I'm really curious about her feature inside! I still remember the last time she was in Vogue Paris (it should be August 2007) and I loved that ed then!

The styling is a bit boring. Typical Emmanuelle Alt.

Not very excited about seeing yet another denim look on the cover of Vogue Paris but Carla looks gorgeous. I like the masthead, too. Might be my favorite VP cover of this year, actually.

Very random, but were Daria W and Doutzen Kroes the only VP cover stars this year that were younger than 30?

It's very bland and photoshoped to death and truly NOBODY in France want to see her on a fashion cover!

Jeans again? Come on Emmanuelle put something a bit more exciting on the cover. Other than that Carla looks beautiful. Hope that the logo is gold foil in real life.

Carla Bruni shares her inspirations, musical delights and nearest and dearest with Vogue Paris for the December 2012/January 2013 double issue.

"I first met Carla Bruni in my early 20s when she was just starting out as a model, and it has been a real pleasure to create this special Christmas issue with an old friend" writes Emmanuelle Alt, editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris, in the Editor's Letter for the December 2012/January 2013 double issue. With three major appearances in April 1995, November 2002 and August 2007, Carla Bruni is at home in the pages of Vogue Paris as she joins the elite list of special guest stars for the Christmas issue of the magazine. Captured for the cover by photography duo Mert & Marcus, Carla Bruni is joined inside the magazine by the likes of actresses Farida Khelfa and Emmanuelle Seigner and model Marpessa Hennink. They are all individuals that she respects and loves, with whom she has crossed paths in her many different lives as model, singer, actress, activist and first lady of France. In a look back to the time when she reigned supreme over the runway, the Christmas issue sees Carla Bruni reunited with three of the original supermodels whose names alone have the power to reawaken the 1990s glory days: Yasmin, Helena and Christy. And in between opening up her portfolio and her studio to Vogue Paris, Carla Bruni found space to pay homage to her native Italy with a little help from the one and only Massimo Mori, head chef at Mori Venice Bar, who has created a unique recipe for a luxe risotto, especially for Carla and the special issue.

This is stunning! So happy to see Carla in covers, she's one of my favorite modes of all time.

Beautiful!! It's a simple cover but there's something about it that is so festive. This reminds me of Taylor Swift's Harper's Bazaar cover but tons better! I can't stop staring at it.

Well done! Simplicity at it's best.

No doubt the masthead is foiled and makes the cover more admirable on the stands. It's a serviceable cover shot from Mert & Marcus, I've no complaints. However I would have said this was the work of David Sims. I cannot wait for the contents to surface now.

I was so excited when I saw that she got the cover but I must say I'm a bit disappointed in the result... It mostly comes from the styling... A denim shirt for a Christmas issue... Right after what we got last month... Looking forward to seeing the editorial though.

I wish it had happened under Carine's tenure...

This comes just when I thought things couldn't get worse. Her first Vogue Paris cover... I wish it had never happened.

I love the cover... the styling suits her musical persona...
