What can I wear it with? (December 2003 - March 2010)

I have a few vintage hats (felt pillbox & netted pillbox) that I'd love to able to wear in the daytime but am not quite sure what to pair them with so they look contemporary and edgy rather than dated and frumpy. I'm a university student if this helps. Any ideas would be appreciated!!

Dear advisers
Recently I have bought several knee length,tight skirts.
I'm only 20, I don't want to look to posh if I go to college.
Now I often wear them with brown ankle boots.
But what in the summer?
I'm looking for something confortable, in a bright colour (no wedges, have one already)

Depending on your weather, how about denim? Say darrrrk indigo jeans (skinnies maybe?) and a black blazer. Keep it simple so the hats are the main focus. Maybe something slightly menswear inspired or androgynous?

LoveMyBoots, what about yellow or red peep toes or round toes? Maybe a red bangle pushed up a bit on the arm?

Silvi, I think peep-toe flats in a bright colour would look cute with those. You can even wear the skirts high-waisted and depending on the shirt, you could even pair it with brown gladiator sandals.

i just got this chocolate color cowl-neck sweater dress from online and now i don't know what color to pair it with. plus i'm just a student so i'm not sure how to wear this dress more casual than dressy? ugh i'm so regretting that i chose brown over black! any good ideas?

I always find it hard to pair bags with my leather jacket, I don't want it to look too ott with all the leather and zips. I'd say because the jacket is quite casual and slouchy, not to go for anything structured, something casual like the jacket.
As for colour, perhaps a burgundy...or a deep red colour. Or maybe even a very dark brown.

I think the purple colour would look stunning with gold accessories for a formal occassion.
Like these gold shoes selections, or maybe delve into a gold/purple mix or a plum colour.

I have a sheer smocked off-shoulder green and white floral top (ala Zara's spring 2008 line) that I got in Spain last summer. Any suggestions on how to wear it or what to wear it with? would a bandeau underneath look better than a tank top since it's off the shoulder style?

I'd wear it with black cardi, shoes and this green bag for a little colour, but I'm not into colours myself.

Oh wow, I would of never thought yellow and it looks like it may be quite nice! I love the idea of a green bag with a black cardigan, I am going to try that.

I actually tried it on with a purple cardigan and the color with the dress was quite nice, but the shape of the cardigan was terrible. This was about the color though:

I have just received these trousers as gift from an aunt and they aren't something I would normally wear, (jeans and dresses kinda girl) I wouldn't mind giving them a try it's just I have no idea what to wear them with. ^ A white blouse would look great with that (the frilly look would look great, like puffy sleeves. Or a sleeveless turtleneck in gray or black maybe. Of if you want to pair it down, like a white graphic tee would look nice. A basic heel would match up great with those too.
