What can I wear it with? (December 2003 - March 2010)

I think that outfit is cute, but a bit too trendy trendy (for my taste). It depends the event, what you going to, etc. But I think it would look great with a simple l/s black shirt (playing off the black at the bottom and top of the skirt), slicked back hair/ponytail, and some big jewelry. That way you are balancing the frills and shortness of the skirt with something more sedate. If a l/s shirt is too warm for you, than i agree a tucked in raceback tank is fun (plus maybe a belt to define your waist), perhaps with some bangles on each arm (or just one simple bangle to go against trend). Same slicked back hair (which I think works well against the whimsy of the skirt). It's very cute - great purchase

Thanks for the suggestions Meg:flower:. I love the idea of the ponytail  and I too think racer back top would look better than what I have in the picture

Thanks GasolineRainbow... I actually googled the keyword you gave and I got the link... its really nice and useful

I think that means long-sleeved ...

Duh, I knew that.:innocent:

Peony, black heels? Or metallic skin-colored heels. Perhaps a bright blue or green for contrast, but that dress already makes enough of a color statement. Also, orangey heels, but not the same exact orange as on the dress, as it would be too matchy-matchy.

I'm interested to hear opinions on how everyone would style this Karen Walker skirt, I'd like to style it a bit rock-chic, rather than the usual cutesy KW styling.

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this post, if not feel free to delete.
I have a tiny tight black hooters tank top. Yeah, I know, trashy. But since I'm a pretty small girl and a not even an A cup, I like to think of it more as ironic. I've tried it with a preppy cardigan, skinny jeans, keds and my glasses, but I'm still not sure. Kind of a more nerdy vibe.. Is there anyway to style this without looking like a wh*re?

There's nothing innately skanky about a Hooters tanktop. It's only the dubious brand that the name implies. You can wear it in a tongue-in-cheek way if the rest of your outfit errs on the modest side. Doesn't even have to be nerdy, just simple jeans/skirt, shoes and a cardigan.

A lot of hipsters wear big-name brand shirts in an ironic way, and I have to admit I find it kind of annoying. I love humorous, playful outfits, but sarcastic, cooler-than-thou outfits, not so much. So a hipster-like outfit with a Hooters tank would irk me. But I mention this with trepidation as I don't know how you dress, and you may like that style.

Australienne, I'm clueless when it comes to pairing acid wash denim, and I barely liked any of the outfits I googled. A couple I did like:

La Meow at flickr.com The neon colors and classic pumps paired with the skirt are so 80's-fabulous.

Lidia_Luna at flickr.com The sheer tights and especially the pale florals are very pretty with acid wash.

What about wearing it with all black ... kind of the equivalent of a cat suit underneath ... close-fitting l/s black knit top, leggings, black heeled booties, perhaps w/ silver zip detailing ... there was a silver cross pendant (on a black cord I think--leather?) in an editorial in the current Elle I liked ...

I'd wear it with some strong black sandals and perhaps a thick black bangle. The dress itself has a lot going on, so I'd keep it simple ...

Hit me:

a beige Herringbone blazer

for the office

ok to just couple with a pair of beige slacks/office pants? or should i go matchy-matchy?

^ I would go for more contrast, like a deep brown ... black works, and you might be able to pair it casually with jeans--white, brown, ivory. (And of course blue :P)

How could I wear these boots? I bought these recently because I thought they were cute and now I have absolutely NO idea :S

Cicciolina- You could wear to shirt like this and some skinny jeans, cute scarf and gold earrings and a bag that matches closly to your boots.
