What can I wear it with? (December 2003 - March 2010)

it's ok to wear black with brown?

YES :woot: I just wouldn't make the brown shoes the only brown piece. I've worn black & brown together for awhile but not too long ago Kate Moss did, so the whole W.W.K.M.W. kinda sealed it for me!
The shoes are very versatile, though. Personally, I wouldn't wear them with long skirts/dresses, A-line or flowy pieces or wide/bell denim. I do think the fringe is best accented on a skinny leg-be it with pants, leggings, tights, etc. But you said you didn't like that look. Rock your skinny legs, girl!!:flower:

I bought this Ashish vest a couple of days ago and I cannot decide what to wear it with!

I'm thinking a grey crop sweater by Alexander Wang and some leather skinny pants. Jeans on jeans would be too much. What do you guys think?

On the runway it was paired with a fringe dress but I don't think that's something which can be pulled off on the street. It'll be a tad too much!

(I'm really sorry for the side ways photos, I don't know how to turn them around!)

(I'm really sorry for the side ways photos, I don't know how to turn them around!) Whatever pic utility you're using on your computer (or even web-based pic hosting) you should have a way to resize AND flip or rotate the pics. Try opening them in the "paint" application & rotating, then saving.

hi all!

i just bought this dress from anthropologie. i really need to find a sweater to wear with it (but the sweater doesn't have to be anthropologie as well). i would like to add some color to the outfit as i am planning on wearing black flats.

any ideas? thanks in advance :flower:

for that dress above,
i'd do a cropped white sweater with yellow or silver flats for a summery look and a sexy fitted leather jacket with black boots and tights for a wintery edgy look.

^ What about layering a very thin sweater (lavender? really any color you like) underneath, so you don't cover up all the beautiful detail on the bodice? You could do cashmere if you like it ...

Hi there,

I want to buy a pair of these boots:

What could I wear them with besides jeans? Would they look weird with a skirt?

^ I agree, it'd look great with something that balances the flowy-ness of it.

Opinions! Should I change this dress....

I bought this vintage dress despite having one very similar..

It has a sheer section at the front with a few gems, most of which are falling off. As this is framed by heavy silver beading I thought perhaps I could cut this section out - to set it apart from the other dress which is also black beaded and high necked... and make it a little sexier

I mocked it up a little on photoshop to show what I mean but my phone camera is useless so perhaps imaginations are better!

Am I having a mad moment? Maybe I have been thinking about it too long but I'd like to get some opinions before I just go ahead...

australienne - way better without the cut out, sexier without being tacky

lemonadensnickrs - dark blue skinny jeans (dark blue goes great with pink and black, skinny balances the flowiness) and black pumps, black boots or even dark brown boots which go with your hair

True. I think I got a little obsessed with changing it when I was rethreading all the beading! Thanks :flower:

I'm going to a summer wedding (June 22nd) that is black tie. It is in the late evening with dinner beginning at 10pm.
I haven't seen a lot of these people for about 10 years, and I want to dress to impress.. but I have no idea what to wear!!
I want to wear my Louboutin black patent Decolletes, but what to wear with them??

Help! I'm 5'4 and a size 0, so something that would be flattering on a tiny figure with minimal curves/flat chest;

help!
