What do you regret not buying?

If it helps console you I'm sure the Manolos could be acquired as a special order somehow.

I had a pair of boots similar to them made for me by our bootmaker in CH. It's not the same though is it? My family is very into things that will last, which Manolos will but if we've used a bootmaker for the last twenty decades then he will carry on for the next twenty decades. Having said that, he's been bloody good with fixing my shoes so far. As long as they're moon-boots (no, I'm being nasty now)

I have been regreting not buying a lot of things lately. Biggest regrest was not completing my pre-order for a Rick Owens leather jacket on LVR!!! Only store I have found it in is Barney's, but they got it in dark grey instead of black, which doesn't really do it for me. hmph.

The most beautiful cricket sweater from J Press, dark camel with burgundy and navy detail... I would have bought it, but it sold out. I'm hoping they'll have something similar next winter because it was perfect.

This perfect Dolce&Gabbana pinstriped suit on Ebay :( and a white Dolce&Gabbana coat to :(

Oh cool! Not quite the same but I'm sure they're awesome boots. :)

A pair of Adidas by Stella McCartney sneakers- I'm SO PISSED, I kept putting off buying them, and now they're gone... They were metallic. So. Pretty.  I must've called 15 stores asking for them. NOTONEHADTHEM. It was *the* perfect shoe for me.. if I see someone wearing it I'll rip it off their foot. Well, maybe not.

God I sympathise with everybody on this thread! I hate the feeling that is regret! For me it's the following:

Two pairs of killer Linda Farrow shades - they were perfect and I didn't buy them  and I'm even in desperate need of sunglasses:hardhead:

A gorgeous pair of suede and green patent leather Proenza Schouler flats and a gold pair of Azzedine Alaïa heels, the prize was more than 70 % off but of course I didn't buy either...:( :censored:

These things still haunt me in my sleep:ninja:

well i found one proenza jacket on ebay- but its a size 8..and im 2-4...should i still get it?!! MJ??

^eeek. thats a huge size difference, do we know how they ran? the proportions of that piece were so that if it doesn't fit well it is going to loose its whole purpose. so I would have to say no, unless there would be some way of returning it if it doesn't fit, but I doubt that with ebay. although I guess you could always re-sell it, I don't know much about ebay.

ya me either.im an ebay phobic..i wonder how easy it is to alter leather..yesss i want it that bad..its just so uber cool

leyla darling- here you go...

A good tailor can alter a leather jacket for you.. I had it done this winter.

The Lanvin cone heels from spring06, Gucci silver tinsel pumps from fall98 (?), Missoni silk wrap dress from fall00, Roberto Cavalli serpent heels from fall04 (?), Gucci python jacket from spring06, one of the exaggerated collar jackets or coats from Gucci fall03, Fendi pastel circle mink coat from fall00, Versace black mink tail coat, Salvatore Ferragamo red python purse with heavy silver chain, Salvatore Ferragamo bow purse from fall05 (?), Rochas silver brocade jacket from spring04, Alberta Ferretti camel coat with fox collar, Yves Saint Laurent purple acorn button coat from fall05. I know there's more.

I love those shoes. I tried on the last pair in the store but one shoe was the window display and the flower had faded ... I couldn't justify buying them....

I also really miss a Versace orange, black and white dress from fall00.

2000 was when I "discovered" fashion, so there are a lot of pieces from 2000 that I miss....

This pair of chinoiserie wedges from Tom Ford's last collection for YSL...
I was entranced by them when I first saw them, but I wanted to be sensible then and passed them on...even when I saw them on sale at the YSL boutique
