What Did You Resist Buying?

Uff, so much stuff I wish I had bought!

-Cashmere/wool tab collar black jacket from Dior Homme (saw it up on raffaello-network for $1100... thought it was too expensive and then it disappeared when I wanted to splurge!)

-Blood wound shirt (ANY OF THEM) from Dior Homme as well

-Fingerless painted wool gloves from Dior Homme Luster. They were only $125 aaaaaahhhhhhh.

-the extra long wool scarf with long tassles from VotC (grrr, $225 wasn't bad, I shouldn't have been so damn cheap).

No more regrets! I've got my mind set on pieces this season and I'm gonna get them!

That's the one I wanted! It goes for over $400 on eBay now!

i never bought those golden gucci high heels with the snake head thing on the front. i think they were ss04, not sure though, can't find a pic. it's been so long and i still think about them. i really regret not buying those

Were they like this????

 i didnt buy any victoria secret bras because i dont know the size difference from australia to usa  so i just got sexy thongs :brows:

yes jssy4eva, those in gold. :buzz:
i love them so much, how could i leave them in the store???

i passed up dozens of things at the thrift stores that i wanted but never have the money for. and i passed up a cute XOXO purse because i wanted the wallet first. hopefully the purse is still at Ross.

That is the story of my life... always passing up things cause i've bought too much and then running around like a maniac trying to find it a few weeks later when it's already sold!!

I have passed things up and regreted it greatly after. Really way too many to name. The last big thing was a grenadine Balenciaga moto bag at Barney's that I then had to find by calling every store I could think of that would have it across the country. I have it now though, so it all worked out for the best anyway.

Some stuff I really regret not getting, like a black Cloak leather jacket with hood from FW04 at half price, I didn't have enough money at the time so I got the long coat from that same season thinking I'd go back and pick up the leather jacket later, but alas when I came back t'was gone. Some other stuff I passed on recently I don't really regret, like a beautiful white Helmut Lang suit at 80% off that didn't fit me very well anyways, but I had bought way too much white already.

i passed up a great prada print coat a few years ago at Century 21... it's one of the ones that got away...

lmao at this thread topic; so great!

Well, today I walked out of Guess on some cropped jeans. They were having a promotion where if you simply tried on the jeans you got a scratch card where you could save 10%-50% off, or win a $1,000 shopping spree at Guess. Can't imagine what I'd buy there with that much, but that's beside the point.

I tried them on, and ended up with a 20% discount if I chose to take it, but Guess jeans just aren't flattering on me.. so I had to pass.

Still not sure how they justify $170 jeans anyway.. even with the 20% off.

Hmm...about two years ago I saw this gorgeous oscar de la renta vintage dress from god knows what decade. It was black satin with eyelet print and had a single ruffle at the bottom and one at the top across the neckline. It was so beautiful. It was like $400 and I wasn't sure if I wanted it.

Obviously I did want it because I still think about the darn dress all the time. That's sad, isn't it? Sad as in a tragic way, but moreso in a pathetic way, thinking about a vintage dres I didn't buy two years ago as often as I do.
It will always be "the dress that got away." I think this is when I developed the highly dangerous habit of, "If you think you like it, buy it immediately, because it might be gone later!"

Wow, my old thread, back from the dead...

I have been resisting buying some big, bugeye sunglasses I tried on... Prada, and priced accordingly. Wish me luck... I walk by the store every day. :shifty:

i resisted buying the only 45rpm jeans i've ever seen on ebay (are there more? am i looking in the wrong place?) and they were so simple and perfect, except for the inseam, which could have easily been tailored 4 inches shorter.

i wish i bought it though

There was this gorgeous grey silk Dior homme hoodie that I saw on sale for one third the original price. I was out on a shopping trip and it would have cut too much into my budget especially when I was looking for a cardigan and I already own too many hoodie’s, but it was gorgeous. I don’t know weather it will be one of those things I regret not buying.

Last april/may I resisted buying this beautiful ballet pink layered skirt. IF anything, that should've been the one skirt I should've bought. IT was beautiful and I have nodoubt someone else snatched it up.

i tried it on.. but somehow it just didn't look good on me... i looked like the michelin man .. so i passed :ninja:

I resisted buying one CDG H+ 2003 mohair grey blazer for about 200 euros:woot:
I dont really need another one

So many many things......in 2005 though I think it was a pair of Marni mary janes that I kept on going into Liberty just to have a peek at them. The £350 price tag kinda put me off though. It was major shoe lust.
