What do you regret not buying?

Sure. I regretted not buying a newspaper tank from Galliano at 50% last June for months, but i'm actually over it now AND a little happy for not buying it, as it was still pretty expensive at around 200 $ and can only be worn under cardigans.

THE most wonderful sheepskin jacket in a charity shop. It was 3/4 length, cream with very subtle 'oriental' designs/writing on it in different colours. It was an Italian make, but can't remember which. I didn't get it as it was just before Christmas, I was loaded with bags & decided to come back for it in a couple of days when it would be less of a struggle on the bus. I went back & it was gone!! WAH!

Red suede Manolo Blahnik d'Orsays from 2003. I bought the camel ones in 2004 but [sigh], the reds are still my favorite!

once upon a time...

there was a pair of black and white wool houndstooth baggy cuffed trousers...
they were perfect and awesome...
the only thing that could have made them more perfect was the boxy oversized two button blazer that matched...

the pants were adopted by a girl who loved them very much and made sure that they went out and had lots of fun...
but every day the pants thought about the blazer and they wished that the blazer could be there to share in all the fun..

but unfortunately, the girl could only choose one of them to take home and so ....alas...
the blazer was left behind...

:(

What a touching story. Maybe one day in the future they will be reunited...you never know.
Don't all fairy tales have a happy end?

i regret not buying a vintage chanel cashmere sweater, i almost did not cost anything :(

Hmmm, here's a few...

A vintage red alligator purse in Buenos Aires. Beautiful color, great condition.

A silver necklace/choker where sterling arms bones 'held hands.'

A vintage mink jacket that fit me perfectly - I put in a bid at auction and was barely outbid. It only went for $300.

A Victorian love seat with the cutest green and blue fabric, would have been a much better buy then the aweful Ikea one I bought in a pinch.

There are others...

I regret not buying an Etro skirt in the Harrods sale at £78 down from £320. I bought another one in a different colour but should have bought both at that price. And I LOVE Etro. This was last summer, when all the pre-spring collection went straight into the summer sale at 75% off!

I have a curse...when I want to be a sensible shopper and do the whole (wait one day, sleep on it, if you still want it when you wake up go get it) and when I wake up to go get it..usually gone..so My list can go on and on...its actually making me depressed just thinking about it..:X

I actually reserved a pair of Gucci shoes atthe Gucci store and then decided I'd let them go because I have similar shoes already ... now they haunt me.

a costume national dress. very fitted, to the knees with long sleeves and a great neckline... in black wool. it was on ebay in exactly my size, but i kind of talked myself out of it... it was so perfect, i still think about it to this day :(

The white mulberry leather jacket I fell in love with in London 5 years ago... It was so beautiful, and so me. And only like £200! But no, I talked myself out of it... Why, oh why???

I've searched the internet for it ever since... But a picture is nowhere to be found. Sometimes it almost feels like it was only a dream... :whine:

Everything! Those I didn't buy that spring to mind right now are
a short white trench from Topshop about ten years ago
the Prada half inch platform soled courts from a couple of seasons ago
Manolo past the knee leather boots from 11 years ago
handmade brown leather gloves in Italy (I only got the black)
Manolo flats I should have bought a size down from normal which then sold out
a tight mid calf skirt with invisible zip in Geneva
a wig I tried on years ago that really suited me but I didn't think I'd ever have the guts to wear.

Some were cheap, some were expensive, but I told myself 'I'll get them later' each and every time and then didn't even though I meant to.

If it helps console you I'm sure the Manolos could be acquired as a special order somehow.
