What is Your Favorite Restaurant in Your City?

I live near Boston.

The Grasshopper is in Allston. Its a completely vegan restaurant. Sooooo good! I'm not vegan anymore but I still adore it. They make wicked good curried eggplant and bamboo shoots. If you ever go there, everybody says to get the No Name. It's apparently fantastic.

Dessert wise, Finale is this wonderful dessert place open only at night I believe.

Also, Fire + Ice is this great restaurant where you choose your own food for a stir fry. Its really neat. Not sure if they have it in other cities?

London - E&O, exactly the sort of food i love, service could not have been better (admittedly we were there by invitation), friendly atmosphere, surprisingly unpretentious. It also helps that it was the best date ever too!

and The Ivy -I'm a sucker for good service (well it's refreshing when you've been dining out in France for the last few years!!)

Bristol UK - Touareg, good food and the service is excellent, romantic atmosphere.

France - As mentioned it's hard to find good service, even in the popular restaurants, although the restaurants in fine hotels are fantastic (Res. de la Pinede in St. Tropez and Le Mas Candille in Mougins). I don't think you can go far wrong in any restaurant in the village of Mougins in South of France - friendly atm, reasonable prices, great food which is beautifully presented, (it is supposed to be the gastronomic capital of Europe apparently) and :woot: good service!!
