I dont know why.....but does it really matter? lol I think someone here was making a big deal outta nothing.....if it was me looking at that picture of the Paris sisters i wouldnt have taken a second look. Big deal. :P
once you have decided for yourself to read this topic, means you were interested too, right??

ok its no big deal as such, but again its in the handbags thread and she is famous. so its normal to dicuss it.

anyway, all this came up cause someone claimed it was real and i know its NOT. so i wanted to give them a "chance" to show a pic of the REAL one... and it never showed up. :ninja:

and why does everyone get so defensive over the hiltons as soon as someone talks about something they are wearing...?? now THAT would be a big deal for nothing.

anyway we're talking bout the bag here not bout the HILTONs B) so lets be cool

Well, I guess it's just shocking that us 'nobodys' have the authentic bags, and two of the youngest, richest people carry fakes. It's just weird. [/b][/quote]
Yeah ok i see your point, we are talking about the bag and not the Hiltons Leyla m. but someone here was obviously talking about the Hiltons....tut tut LOL :P

the funny thing is that Paris is wearing the same bag in US magazine issue 470 pg 22...i dont have a scanner sorry.

it is real or not???

Yes, I've seen those pictures too. I actually saw Paris carrying that bag before I saw Nicky carrying it.

Is it real?! No, no, it is most definitly a fake! Louis Vuitton never made the multicolore in the papillon style, and there are only about 6 colors in her bag, when there is suppose to be 33. Not to mention the straps!!! Oy!

How do you know its a fake? It could be real - can't really tell from the photo
if you read all the posts, you will see that this nag DOESNT even exist.

There is definitely a papillion in the multi colour - they have introduced other classic shapes now too

Also, I don't think that bag was a gift, because Nicole Richie also carries a fake white speedy. US (I think) had the nerve to point out her fake Uggs, but not her purse!
A bit off topic, but not really, considering the topic has to do with "authentic" versus "fake". I just wanted to point out that "ugg" boots are really a generic term for Australia sheepskin boots. They existed long, long before the brand UGG took the general term as its logo. The root of the word ugg is not really known, it may have something to do with "ugly" or may have descended from the Aboriginal peeps. I had two pairs custom made in Australia for me and my bf 3 years ago. IMO, They are of a MUCh higher quality and better looking than the brand UGG, which I think look kind of cheap and I have been told split at the seams and fall apart pretty quickly. I guess what i am getting at is, I believe that people should wear/carry what they like. If the Hiltons are sporting fake LVs then good for them- ( i might get beat for this) but I don't think that the Murakami's are classic enough to stick around very long, and way too expensive for ,IMO, a fad bag.

Well said!

UGGS were around much longer before it started being "fashionable" for everyone to have them.

Doesn't the reflection on the window look a bit distorted? I mean, it doesn't quite seem to look the way you'd think it would. Maybe it's just the lighting or something. Oh well, it's a fake in any light :P

I'm sorry this is getting really off topic, but it's very strange that there's a company named UGG that makes ugg boots. Australia must have different copyright laws because I read somewhere that a company name or trademark couldn't have anything to do with its product because you're taking that name or TM to exclusively describe your product and it wouldn't be fair if other companies making the same thing couldn't use certain words inherent in the product. For example APPLE wouldn't be the name of a company that sells the fruit apple, but is fine for a computer company. I wonder how other UGG boot-making companies feel?

Topic? I think Paris makes that bag look very nice.

Yeah- someone in another thread posted a link to a "save the ugg" site- you could search uggs to find it. The sites says how "UGG" the US company is trying to sue other Aussie companies that make ugg boots even though they have been making them longer(and better  than the UGG brand. So unfair- but I guess if you have $$ behind you, fairness isn't so important. . .

You can tell this one is fake though because it has that stupid white LV circle tag on it and the LV's are not centered. But in all reality I think what Paris has is real because there are custom made LV bags...

Just a thought :flower:
