I have to disagree w/Luna.

For years I stuck with my brown hair and just added light highlights in different shades or brown to it and it was nice. Only in this last year have I tried a blonde blonde look and I love it to bits. I get all sorts of compliments on my hair now and I just feel more alive.

I tried to dye my hair back to brown and I just hated it. I really tried for about 2 months, I went today to get it a light shade of brown and the owner of the salon didn't recognize me...she thinks I look better blonder....

I don't think you should ask people on the internet what colour you should do your hair, you should speak to your colour tech about that. They will tell you what goes best with your skin complexion colour and so forth.

But believe me, blonde is nice

Were you blonde when you were little? If so, maybe. Otherwise, no. In fact, probably no...because if your hair is gorgeous brunette, then don't mess it up. Gorgeous natural color always beats unnatural color, which also usually looks rather dried and damaged from all of the dye.

You really need to post a picture of yourself. Based on the description I wouldn't go any lighter cause fair skin girls tend to look washed out if they go to light. A safe bet would probably be to do the base color of of last pic you posted (Trumps girlfriend I think) and maybe some low lights like that of Zeta-Jones.

Dark brown if that's your natural color. In order to avoid looking "washed out" you may need to change your makeup colors. Use bronzer!

The last time I got my haircut was about five months ago. I got layers in the front(never wanted them but my cousin convinced me in the end) and the lady cut it really badly to where it's extremely obvious there's layers. Now, they kind of grew out, so I'm going to get it cut again soon and my mom said I could get highlights this time. I'm completely out of ideas . I have dark brown hair and I have medium-color skin. Does anyone know what colors would look good with this?

I like unique stylish hair. Personally, I think nearly everyone looks so much better with short hair that accentuates and frames you face than boring shapeless long hair. My hair used to be really long too, like to my back and very layered but then I got sick of it and cut it above shoulder length and I LOVED it! I really didn't like my hair when it was that long. I think long hair looks best when you have naturally wavy-ish hair with tons of volume. Otherwise short hair is best. The most important thing, however, is VOLUME! Flat hair is horrible. I love when girls can pull off super short hair or when they style it in a faux-hawk. So cute!

i'd go for long with streaks. just one colour usually looks boring. also short hair with longer parts look faaaboulous (etc. toni&guy) ...but i don't have the gourage to cut it.

i used to have long hair, but last year desided to get an afro (looked goood) but then i had to cut it off and now i'm obsessed with hairexstension

Last few times i've had my hair cut just above my shoulders, it's grown past now...got a hair appointment on saturday, i'm gunna keep the length except from gettin a trim, and just get my style cut back in...feel a bit 'longer hair' at the mo...probs wont the next time i get it cut...

i would love my hair short but its stupidly thick and looks daft short. it's getting longer now yay! but looks abit plain i have a short fringe! any ideas for thick hair i would love loads of layers but because of the thickness it would just look stupid.

any ideas i would love something really different to other people. its just so boring.

Which hairstyle suits me the best?

A lot of people tell me I look the best with stick straight or wavy hair but not so much with curly hair. (And my hair is naturally really wavy, but no pic)

None of them are curly actually. However, in my opinion I have to agree. The Stick Straight is more appealing than either versions of the wavy style.

I heard it totally fries your hair if you do it too much and some girl's hair even started falling out. EEK!
