Hehe that's what I figured. :-)

Has anyone ever tried the Chi Straightening Procedure? Or the Japanese one?

I heard it totally fries your hair if you do it too much and some girl's hair even started falling out. EEK!
Yeah, i looked into it- many salons arent even doing it anymore because its sooo damaging, its hard to upkeep, its expensive, and frankly (at least lately) all the waves are coming back in style. Thats why i say work with what you got and dont permanantly change anything, your more versatile this way anywho.

Hair Color Help

I'm half Korean/American. I have dark brown hair and eyebrows. I've always had pretty much the same hair color, dark brown. I was watching a show of Date my Mom on MTV, and they had this half asian with blondeish hair. And I kinda want to try it, but I'm really scared. I don't want it to look super unnatural.

I usually just dye from the box because I'm a cheap freak. :-S But if I ever try to dye my hair lighter from the box, it seems to turn even darker!! I was thinking about getting Ash Blonde and trying it, but I'm really scared about doing it. Should I just go to the salon and suck up and pay the price? I don't even know how to describe the color. Or would a light golden brown look bad?

If I were to go lighter, I'd want to dye my eyebrows too, bad idea? And I don't like the color red/auburn in my hair either. :-S

Any ideas?

You should try to find a pic of what you want and bring to the salon to show them exactly what you want. If you're going lighter, which means bleaching, it's best to go to a salon. They'll know what color and how long to keep it in for. And especially the eyebrows. If you do the bleaching yourself, you could end up being brassy and orangey. The box dyes are usually for hair color that is already in that color range. And remember, eyebrows aren't supposed to match your blonde hair color, it's supposed to be brown or light brown.

If you aren't happy with it, have them do it over. That's why you bring a picture.

leave your hair alone, if you get anything more drastic than highlights the upkeep is constant and you'll end up missing your natural hair color.

I like the one on the left. Not sure if you call that curly or wavy. But then I've just never been a fan of straight hair, while most people are.

Changing colour

No doubts. go to the salon. I also have dark brown hair and everytime I try to go lighter at home I end up orange, and that sucks.

A few super light blond highlights (lots of them, but NOT big chunky ones) would be cute. :flower:

I like the slightly wavy style in the pic on the far right best. :flower:

I like the style in the 1st and in the 3rd pics better. But you look good anyway. :flower:

I think that you would look great with really curly hair.:flower: I just feel that straight hair is a bit overdone. But i think you would look good no matter how your hair is, well almost.:innocent:

i think either would look fine maybe slick stright for evenings or more formal things eg. work and wavy for every day casual

Oy. So I'm new and I'm already making a thread. Lol but I want to do this soon so I wanted a bunch of fashion buffs opinion.

First of all, I am seriously thinking about dying my hair blue.

Second of all, should I keep growing my hair out, chop it all off, or leave it this length? (May it be noted that I hate the way I look with short hair)

Any advice given would be great :innocent:

:( Aww, don't put yourself down, you're not fat! I think that you would look best growing it out. Perhaps something like this? :flower:
