we eat animals..
but if they had the chance, they'd eat us too..
sisi01 said:animals would eat humans ONLY out of protecting their territory, or if they were starving/hungry, people who kill animals ONLY to wear them--ugh!! NO animal would do it just for fun

have you ever seen 'The Ghost and the Darkness' ? It was based real events in which some lions ate humans in Africa and began attacking and killing humans, much more than they could eat
Luna said:Just wondering how many of you own and wear fur. I used to think that fur was so luxurious and pretty... but now I own two chinchillas as pets.. and recently visited a pelting factory (for a leather class I was taking) and did NOT like what I saw.
Opinions?
sisi01 said:I completely agree with you but how did you find the way to stay away from ALL animal derived products, I've seen vegan shoes and what I have seen is NOT pretty! but if I could find some that were I would definitely give it ALL up I am a vegetarian and not vegan because I havent found a vegan cheese(Icheese) that tasted as good as regular cheese, but if anyone has any suggestions would be VERY happy and appreciative

I have two, and they just had babies a few weeks ago. I'd look around before choosing one though. As all animals are, if they didn't have very much human contact before, they will be more difficult.
The point is -PETA has tried and has been trying to get the "no fur" message across through more mild and conventional means, but no one pays any attention. how are they to compete with the designers who hog prime tv slots, magazine ads etc? that is why they have HAD TO resort to this... Its not like they enjoy itIncroyable said:Fur is a beautiful material, and has extreme potential as a sort ot medium for innovative fashions.
Animal activists such as PETA has gone to the extent that they have adopted terroristic measures to expand their message.
Throwing dead animals into people's lunches? Spray painting, and barging into high end stores?
Not to mention acts of slander.
