First of all, these videos of animals being skinned alive are not staged. No animal rights activist would do such a thing, doesn't make any sense.
People forget that "animal rights activism" isn't a job. You don't do it because you'te making money. If you start fighting for it, it's because you really care about the issue, for it's not somehting that is going to get you any personal profit (financially or not).
Why would they kill animals to try and persuade people not to kill them?

If someone does so, they're not really an animal rights activist, they're just sick people posing as activists.
I'm completely against fur. I think that animal suffering is way more important than what's in my wardrobe, and I'm very happy with how I arrange my priorities.
I think that people should at least inform themselves on the whole proccess of how an animal becomes a fur coat.
Beause people have no idea what they're endorsing, all they see is a pretty coat.
People choose to live in complete ignorance, cause it's just easier that way (or do you think that fur lovers all avidly research on 'the making of the fur coat' cause they wanna know the real deal?)
It
is a matter of choice, I mean you choose to kill an animal just as you choose to kill a man. Or to eat dog poop.
Doesn't mean it should be
acceptable.
I'm not forced to accept the fact that you choose to endorse animal suffering.
And you're not forced to accept the fact that I think people shouldn't kill animals, but I really don't
understand how can someone's mind work like that.
What surprises me is not the fact that people think it's ok to kill an animal to make a piece of clothing (I mean, people torture each other and make war, why would
that surprise me?)
What I can't understand is why, for some people, some things are completely unacceptable (dog fur) and others that are really just the same, just as serious and cruel (mink fur), are acceptable?
