Zac: Vanessa Is Coming Around To The Beard

Zac Efron snaps a pic with Aussie radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O at the 2Day FM studios in Sydney on Tuesday morning (September 21). The 22-year-old actor opened up about singing with Good Charlotte, filming love scenes and what girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens thinks about his new beard.

On filming romantic scenes: “To be honest with you I really enjoy love scenes, it’s not hard, by then you’ve inevitably got a good relationship with the actress you’re working with… that was the case with Amanda [Crew], we really just saw where it took us… it was pleasurable for me. That was a weird choice of words (laughs).”

On what Vanessa thinks of his new beard: “She goes in stages, early on when it was just coming in, they’re itchy, they’re super prickly so she wasn’t a fan at the beginning, now it’s really soft, she’d coming around.”

In answer to Good Charlotte, on what he would call his own band: “Mine would be like ‘The American Ninjas.’ If you talk to Good Charlotte, tell them yeah dude I’ll sing folk songs with them.

Zac Efron: When He Feared For His Life

Boyfriend of Vanessa Hudgens and the hunky lad of ‘High School Musical’ fame, Zac Efron is currently being run in the cinema halls via his film ‘Charlie St. Cloud,’ his 1st big attempt at the drama genre.

Zac Efron shares one of his scary experiences while shooting for the film. He reveals how frightening it was for him to shoot an underwater sequence. In the climax of the drama, he had to film an underwater scene which shook the soul out of him as he was utterly petrified. The role demanded that he stayed under water for nearly 15 minutes; something that was extremely frightening since he could hardly see anything.

Recalling that experience, he shudders, “It was one of the most surreal experiences. In (watching) movies growing up whenever I see underwater scenes I always assumed they somehow figured out a way for actors to breathe underwater. The actual challenge of being underwater for minutes at a time and moving from oxygen tank to oxygen tank is so hard. I would be submerged for like 15, 16 minutes at a time. It’s really nuts, that was really hard to do. You can’t see anything!”

However, Zac has got his hopes pinned on the film and is happy with the way this film has helped him test his versatility and mental strength.

Zac Efron Wants “Glee” Guest Spot

Zac Efron is the latest “It” boy, popular with teens and young women. “Glee” is the latest “It” show, winning a slew of awards including 4 Emmys, plus a new clothing line. Is it a match made in heaven?

Zac seems to think so. He recently said in an interview: “They haven’t asked me yet… I think it’d be really fun. They’re doing a great job of the show. Yeah, absolutely.”

Looks like he’s ready to go back his “High School Musical” and “Hairspray” roots! Lately he’s been taking on more serious roles in his films, like “Charlie St. Cloud” which deals with death. Maybe he just wants to lighten up and have some fun. Recently the creator of “Glee” invited Justin Bieber on the show

Zac Efron Wants Cool Young Directors

Zac Efron has said that he wants to take greater control over own career and find new directors with his recently-founded production company. The “High School Musical” actor will reportedly star in a remake of Swedish thriller “Snabba Cash” in one movie produced by his Ninjas Runnin’ Wild venture, which operates under Warner Bros.

Asked if he wanted a stronger hand in his own career, Efron told Wonderland: “Yeah absolutely, I’ve just started my own production company and something that I’m working on right now is finding cool young directors. There’s so much young talent our there and these guys aren’t afraid to try new things. The whole producing thing is very new to me but I find it fascinating. You know, finally things to develop and not just waiting for scripts to come in because they don’t.”

Asked if it was a ‘step too far’ for him to emulate the controversial roles portrayed by former young heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio in films like “The Basketball Diaries,” Efron said: “It’s a different time right now. Not to blame it on that. Of course I’d love to go and do that kind of stuff, but it’s harder to get those things made now. It’s about finding those roles but I wouldn’t just do it, you know, I have to feel it in here [puts his fist to his chest]. Leo’s strengths are, I’d say, different. He carved out his own path and found those roles and they were all unique to him. I’m not gonna try to copy him, I’ve gotta find my own path, whatever that is. I don’t know what it is, I’m still exploring – just every day, figuring it out.”

Efron also claimed that he follows his heart in choosing roles and tries to bring things that are “different” and “cool” to an audience that he knows
