1936-2008 Yves Saint Laurent

Thankyou static for your blog link and the scans :flower: Such beautiful pictures from the ages and thankyou tylw for the link :flower:

thanks static & karma 4u ;)
I am really amazed how Yves reserved his style through different decades & genration I mean from the 1962 until 2002 he was able to maintain his style & perfecting his iconic outfits as if we see them for the 1st time season after season , at that time it might sound boring, but he knows it is good for his legacy..& he should be respected for that.

Very true, and yet at the same time his 'look' was in constant evolution. From the Beatnick to the 40's-inspired to the Ballet Russes collection there was such a wide range of styles, colours, and attitudes, yet somehow they don't seem to lack a common thread. One of the many reasons I adore Yves

I love how in the video it says the house could close, seeing how large YSL still is.

you are welcome kikidior, here is the young Lucienne wearing her son creation for Dior, pic is from static scan for YSL book above, thanks static for your effort :flower:.

Lucienne has played a major rule in Yves story by supporting him & beliveing in his talent & intrest.

I love that dress so chic, so sublime, timeless ... very now i can see it on the red carpet.
