The Good:
Sandra Bullock- I hate to give Marchesa props, but Sandra wore it very well
Mo'nique- Best she's looked all awards season
Anna Kendrick- I like the blush color on her
Julianne Moore- I usually hate the colors she chooses to wear, but this was perfect; understated and glamorous
Amanda Seyfried- Gotta love white on blondes!

The Better:
Zoe Saldana- Finally, someone takes a risk! Beautiful color on her beautiful skin
Carey Mulligan- Classy, beautiful, etc, etc
Sarah Jessica Parker- Lahv lahv lahv; she always does risky well
Elizabeth Banks- Can you go wrong with Atelier Versace? I think not.

The Bad:
Vera Farmiga- The dress wasn't hideous, but she just didn't carry it for me
Cameron Diaz- So boring!
Demi Moore- You are not twenty, even if parts of your face are (or younger)

The WTF?!?:
Charlize Theron- I feel so bad for Charlize and Marion, forced to attend events in Dior/Dior Couture
Jennifer Lopez- The moment I saw that Armani, I knew it would be making an appearance at the Oscars; Jenny is beautiful, but for some reason she and that dress just don't add up for me

Well, they had been presented during the entirety of the awards... But yes, it was so quick! He got up there and I bet they were saying "wrap it up!" because there was one minute to go.

Yes, Meryl was good in Julie & Julia but there wasn't much emotional range to her character. Usually there's a real down moment - or seriously dramatic moment (ala Mo'nique) that is the clencher. I just didn't see it in Julie & Julia, but she was terrific in the roll - there's no doubt about that.

I did not see The Last Station, so I cannot say anything about Mirren... Carey was good in An Education, but there was no way she was getting it... and this may be the last time we see Gabby at the awards...

SO HAPPY Jeff Bridges won. I saw Crazy Heart yesterday and my fiance and I loved it... he was great it in... excellent film...

I didn't see any real big no-nos this year, fashion-wise... so that was refreshing. Wasn't a big fan of Charlize's dress, actually... didn't mind that Sandy was wearing Marchesa (so what???), and I thought Miley looked pretty. She just needs to get her posture right!

Plus, just like Crash a couple of years ago, the Hurt Locker is such an irrelevant best picture win. I've seen it, it was a good movie and I've forgotten half of it again. And I'm pretty sure that in 20 years time, this film won't mean anything anymore.

I haven't seen the movie...but I would assume that its win has something to do with Hollywood's anti-Iraq-war sentiment.
