85th Annual Academy Awards (2013) #2

She gets on my last nerve, sorry lol

for my family who I am thankful/blessed to be part of :ninja::blink: well, yeah Anne, otherwise it wouldn't be your family

Fantine.....in real life...blablabla...how terrible was that?

Well, I am happy for Anne; she deserves it. She's cleaned up at most awards; she's a pro at the speeches by now. And I liked that she connected the themes of the film to now. Oh well, I guess I am too pollyanna!

I would've loved to see Sally win too, though.

Laughing so hard at Jacki Weaver's clip. That was actually the whole of her performance. The rest is her reacting to other people. The Academy should be embarrassed for nominating that.

^COMPLETELY agree. I actually just saw that movie two days ago and I was so SHOCKED to find out that Jacki and Robert got nominations.

You guys are harsh. Anne's speaking in front of a billion people, so she's just nervous.
I think she's one of those people who get diarrhea of the mouth when she's nervous.

I liked the ending of Anne's speech, I wish she had made those comments earlier in the speech it probably would've been a bit stronger of a sentiment that way, but it was good of her to acknowledge the struggles of women like Fantine.

lol seriously. That scene wasn't even meant to highlight her acting. Then again, no scene was. I understand De Niro's nomination though.

I can not get over how WRONG those bustline darts are on Anne's Prada dress. That is inexcusable on all levels. It was the first thing I noticed, sadly, when she was on the Red Carpet. SO BAD!!!

Kristen Stewart does the same and she gets crucified every time so no sympathies for Anne imo... I think she deserved the award and her speech was not as bad as I thought it will be though she ruined it at the end...

Is it me or Anne should have ironed her dress?

You guys, Sandra Bullock is 48 years old. OMG!
I thought she was like 36!

This is true...however, my defense of Anne Hathaway may have something to do with the fact that I haven't seen or heard any of her acceptance speeches this year. :ninja:
I had to work on a lot of the award show nights.

Okay I officially don't like Jennifer Lawrence's dress: too much poof. But she's still cute.
