Advice about Starting & Promoting a Fashion Blog - See Post #1 for Thread Rules

^ I want to compliment you on a great original (to me) layout. It's simple and extremely pleasing to the eyes IMO and well organized picture posts. I like to read someones thoughts etc though and I went through a few pages and it seemed like 99% pictures. Not trying to be mean or anything, just a personal preference. If you want to you can read through the last several pages of this thread (if you haven't already) and see what others have been talking about. :)

Hellou:)
So , I want to work in a fashion magazine and when I will go internship next year they will probably ask me about my past experience etc so I thought that fashion blog was I good idea to show them how much I love this world and how much I am loyal to it. I don't want to be a famous blogger or anything like that.

So this is my blog: http://envoguelove.wordpress.com

I know that I want another theme for my blog...like with my name or something with fashion but I don't know how to make theme so please please help me with that.
Also...anything else what you don't like, just let me know.

Thank you

En Vogue Love,
"All my pics are via fashion spot or style.com. If anyone don't want their pic here, just let me know.
Fashion makes my life brighter."
Just watch out for grammatical errors, especially if you want to work in a fashion magazine.
Change the don't to doesn't

And a clean, minimalistic layout is the best way to go. a white background is generally the best as it is more pleasing to the eye.

I didn't know that. Take you very much.
Anyway...You think that my theme is ok...or should I try with white one ?

Does anyone know how to hide these annoying post labels on blogger? To make them invisible or so?

I would definitely try a different theme.
It looks far too cookie-cuttered and standard.
Try having an image header and don't have so many colours as borders etc

^ I like the template you have but then I like minimalist templates.

Envoguelove, the template is fine, you dont need a "fashion" template..
I think it is just the colours that bother me.. but thats just a personal opinion of course

I bought a domain for my blog the other day (I'd had the intentions to for an awfully long time, but in noticing people were starting to take my blog's name and use it for Tumblr etc, I started to suspect someone might buy the domain I wanted too), however, I've noticed it's had a funny effect on RSS feed type sites. On Networked Blogs, now every post shows up twice, and on Google Reader new feed was created for the new domain (but my blog is still hosted by Blogspot, as it always has been). Is there any way to merge the two? Will people have to unsubscribe from the old feed and re-subscribe to the new feed? Or more importantly, if I post a new entry, will it still show up in the original feed, or only the new one? Because if it doesn't, how will those who only check a blog using Google Reader feeds even know of the switch? Quite frankly, I'm confused. :unsure:

i was just wondering if anyone knows where i could get some interesting backgrounds for my blogspot blog? Primarily black and white ones/ Minimalist ones? Basically just not only uni color ones. This girls blog as an example: http://mariannann.blogspot.com/ . She has a 2 color blog; where she writes is one color and another as the background. I would want something like that; how could i do that? Also, how do you change how your post titles look like?
Thanks! =) PS: Sorry for so many questions :flower::blush:

xxfashion its all coding, the background isn't images.
One is the post/body bg and one is just the background
Again, post titles is coding.

^oh alright! thanks! is there a website where i could find out what codes to use and how?

I don't know whether we can post our blog link or not but I started a blog with some personal pictures taken either with analog camera, or Polaroid or digital as well...
Feel free to give me some advices or else!

^Sorry I just saw there was a thread for posting our blog link... :blush:

It's OK here too ... if you are asking for feedback and a critique. The other thread is just for showing off! ;)

xxfashion, BloggerBuster.com has lots of good info on changing your blog template. If you don't have a lot of experience with code, it might help to review basic HTML and CSS at w3schools.com.

For the background, you should be able to select whatever color/image you want for the site background (the lavender part on the example you linked to), and search the HTML for the div called "outer-wrapper" and make that background white (or whatever color you like).

For the post titles, basic changes to font and color may be done through Blogger's design feature, but anything more complicated means you'd probably have to change the class called "post-title" or "entry-title".

There are some helpful tutorials on YouTube as well. Good luck!

^thank you so much! beyond helpful. i truly appreciate it!
Also, for the "outer-wrapper" - i had found it but where do i enter what color i would like it to be as all it says is this:

/* Outer-Wrapper
----------------------------------------------- */
#outer-wrapper {
width: 660px;
margin:0 auto;
padding:10px;
text-align:$startSide;
font: $bodyfont;
}
