Go to your dashboard, and click Edit Profile, then under the category Identity (which is in orange), you'll want to change your Display Name, that's the name that shows up after "posted by" and also the name that shows when you comment on other's blogs with that account. :flower:

Thank you so much! It works. Karma:flower:

This is a very silly question because everyone at fashion spot knows how to do it, but alas i do not. I was just wondering how does everyone embed the link to their blogs at the bottom of their posts? Also, whether you, yourself paste that at the bottom of your posts every time or whether there is a way that TFS remembers that and pastes it in automatically? I just really like that and saw many users doing that and just wanted to do that myself in order to promote my own blog. Hope that made sense!

Go to your User CP, then in the left side bar, under Settings & Options click Edit Signature. Once there you can fill in your blog link or whatever you'd like to show at the end of each of your posts. :flower:

I think I can help you with that problem. I am not sure whether word press has this feature but you can embed a translator. I have seen other blogs that have this; they write in their home language but under what they have written is the translation in English! You could try to do that! Good luck!

WOW! Thank you, I will definitely have a look! :buzz:

^Oh wow thanks so much! Thats great! No more breaking my head thinking how you people do it! haha  Thanks again!

Your welcome shockalika! Hope you find it because even though I can read your blog, others are being deprived of the pleasure!

after starting a blog about a year ago on blogspot and it dying out after a few weeks i tried to revamp it this summer, but then i started considering tumblr and spent a couple of days experimenting with both, and found tumbler to be more suitable for me. i can't really figure out why but i think the format is just a little quicker and easier to use, although it doesn't offer as many options as a typical blog.
i've been trying it out for a while and it seems to be working out--right now its mostly a mishmosh of my life, random music and fashion inspiration things, but i hope that once i return from abroad i can spend more time on the content. i'd like to focus on interesting aspects of fashion and personal style (not really shopping) and some art/music.

any advice on how to improve it or ideas for what to include would be appreciated :)

I really like the content and your pictures are beautiful, especially those you took in India!
If I were you, I would just change the layout. Grey writing on a baby blue background isn't easy to read (and honestly does not make me want to read) and even if you may find a white background too classic, I think it makes pictures stand out more.
And I find it more enjoyable when pictures are centered, but well, that's just me.

I've been meaning to start up my fashion blog for literally months now and I finally got around to it this summer, I haven't got many posts up yet but since I don't have many readers yet (or any readers at all haha) I'd love to just get some advice and feedback on what people think about the layout, the content etc. I didn't want it to be too serious, hence the bio and the about page but I'm nervous about whether or not the humour/sarcasm comes across okay.
I'm also worried about whether or not I have a distinct "voice", obviously that's very important in blogging and I don't want to have a boring blog with a generic Fashion Blogger tone to it.
The link is in my signature and any advice/feedback/(constructive) criticism is welcome! :)

I think you're going in the right direction!!! ^_^ I loved the bio, it's really unique! Like your layout, is simple and effective! Also loved the reviews, they're very comprehensive!

Maybe you could use bigger photos? Idk, I personally like them big and with such white space you can use them bigger! ;)

Good luck! :flower:

Thank you very much!

I have quite a small screen so the photos look alright to me but I was worried about how they might appear on other browsers/larger screens. Now that I know I will be sure to make them bigger in future, thanks! :-)

I need advice about statistics.
I set up a StatCounter account for my blog that is great, apart from the fact that you can't see which page visitors came from before coming on your blog if you're on Wordpress.
Does someone know if I could get this information with another tool? Thanks!

after much trial and error in the past, I have set up another fashion blog. It's just my way of experimenting I guess; I'm really looking into potentially working for a fashion oriented publication in the future so I want to just get experience with fashion blogging. I switched to tumblr recently as I find it to be easier to work with than blogspot or wordpress, plus the layouts are much cleaner for someone like me who's too lazy to work with html at the moment. I would love constructive criticism and pointers.

sonia - i really like your blog! nice balance of pictures and words! there is a lot of white space, which is a neat minimalistic style, and i'm not familiar with tumblr, but personally i think it would look a bit better if it was all centered to balance out the white space. i'd also make your title a little bigger to have it stand out and stay with the reader even after they've left the page!

great blog though! and good luck with it! :flower:

rainy_spring - thank you for the tips! I agree that I should probably make the title bigger, and maybe I'll change the color so it stands out a bit more. thank you so much!

I need new background for blogspot.
I mean for letters and background behind letters.
