Advice about Starting & Promoting a Fashion Blog - See Post #1 for Thread Rules

It was "Reenie Beanie" and it was applied to the post's title and in the title's of the sidebar! ^_^

Did you apply it by editing your template in HTML or using the template editor? I was actually unaware you could use custom fonts (besides the Blogger choices or basic fonts). 'm afraid I'm not being much of a help here, however, all I know is to try and undo and reset the font as you did originally and if that's unsuccessful, and you're really set on having that font once more, consider contacting Blogger or even asking about it on a teach forum. It's possibly Blogger doesn't host that font anymore or allow the use of a custom font, such as?

Yeah, that I'll try it! ^_^ Thanks anyway, sweetie! ;)

I am going to make a new layout with my favourite f/w 10/11 collections, so my question is do you first see the clothes or is it more important the model who wears it?

The clothes of course :flower: (although having a beautiful model wearing them doesn't hurt)

^ Ditto! It's the clothes first, then the styling, attitude and confidence of the person wearing the clothes, and finally the look of the model.

I've been trying to find my fashion blog niche for a long time and I think I finally have it: fashionmyworld.tumblr.com it's about travel, fashion and art and how I stay stylish in every aspect of my life. I have a few followers that are friends that use tumblr, how can grow my readership? I also synced it up to my Twitter and Facebook.

Used to blog with blogger but now I'm on wordpress. Seems a bit harder to navigate. I have the free site now, but will likely get my own domain. How can I change the font color of my current template? Is that possible without upgrading?

It's funny you say that because before I started my blog I opened 2 accounts, one on Blogger and the other one on Wordpress, and finally chose to go with the latter because it felt much easier to navigate ^_^
I'm not sure about your question. Have you tried contacting Wordpress directly ("Happiness Engineers")? They're usually very efficient in their help.

I'm starting to get the hang of it with the widgets and pages. I think Wordpress looks a lot more professional that blogger which is why I'm pressing on. The other question i have is how to put two pics side by side instead of stacking them up on top of each other. Any ideas?

Can you edit posts in HTML? I've never tried WordPress, however, if it has an HTML option, you should be able to edit photos be side-by-side that way, by not adding in any line spaces or breaks. Like...

<img src="pictureURL"><img src="pictureURL">

In HTML, depending on the editor, you usually have to hit "enter" or add a line beak (code: <br>) to stack them. In the above example, if you hit the space bar in-between the codes you can add a touch of breathing room, so they're not smack up against each other.

Hope that can help. :flower: Sorry if it doesn't, I'm not familiar with WordPress.

Thanks! I'll try that.

Maybe doing something more original on the Header, maybe write a little bit more on where or at what time the picture have been take...

Those pictures are beautiful ! I pretty like the concept of focus on accessories.

First you should use a Gallery. (I use personally NextGen Gallery)
Very easy to organize pictures, and simple to add them perfectly to my articles.

When you re using HTML to add Images, you have to put side by side, not even a space...
<img src="pictureURL"><img src="pictureURL">

When you re using Visual with an external Gallery to add Images, you have to put side by side again. But you have to say Left, Right, or Center.

[singlepic id=1682 w=550 h=550 float=left][singlepic id=1682 w=550 h=550 float=left]

Side by side, it's a left, left....or right,right.
I hope I help you...

What do you think of my blog girls? is it any good? any changes/improvements? THANKS! http://stylehunter147.blogspot.com/
I think you write well. I'd just change the design if I were you to enhance the content. For example, your blog would look better with a header (a nice picture or a nice font) and I'd change the font of the text into something a little less strict-looking and maybe a tiny bit bigger.
Also, make your subscription options more obvious: move them towards the top of the page to encourage readers to subscribe to your blog.
And maybe you should wait until you have a bigger readership to display the number of hits? It's better to show these numbers when your blog gets a little popular.
A couple of spelling mistakes: in your "contact me" text, it's "sponsor", not "sponser". And blog "archive" instead of "archie".
One last thing: try to instore a regular rythm for posting. I see you wrote a couple of times daily then stopped for a week and posted again later. You don't have to post on a daily basis, but readers appreciate regularity.
Hope that helps! :flower:
