Whatever happened, McQueen should not be allowed to do extremely commercial clothes. He's far too good for that.

hmm. perhaps he was looking to make his main collection more profitable by making it more commercial the past couple seasons. now he has McQ though, which is going to generate revenue..so (whether or not that was the case) now he can go back to doing what he does best with his main line. that would be my guess.
