Wouldn't it be nice if she could bring the same restraint she consistently shows in her menswear collections to her women's shows?

I always believe the male half of a brand should find the female half attractive (and vise versa). I don't think any of these men would find a girl dressed in a quinceanera gown and a beehive shoved on her head even remotely alluring.

Absolutely love this  I can easily picture a modern Dorian Gray strolling around a decadent english garden, wearing these clothes.

that's a stunning cast here. and i agree that the consistency she delivers in menswear is admirable and appealing, even though i am definitely not the target customer.

I actually really like (part of) this. I always enjoy her male collections more than the womenswear. It's more edited and less costumey/gimmicky. It doesnt feel like the same mess all over again season after season. I particularly like the outerwear and the jackets here.

although....
mary janes for men? no thank you.

I'm all for androgyny, but this is completely feminine... and just hideous.

^ This collection is nothing compared to the collections J.W. Anderson does in terms of femininity

wow ths is quite dreadful! I would onl;y wear the second trouser look on post 2

This is grim. A huge no to those Mary Jane shoes and hideous Victorian prints. It clings too much to decadence.

I really like most of this, although I'm a little over the prints and skull motif already. I have quite a few mcqueen pieces, and I find recently the construction is becoming more simple while the prints and embroidery are taking center stage. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it's overdone. Lee made a name for himself on his technical ability, but now this brand is known for it's graphic prints and t-shirts.

On a sidenote; while I love what Sarah is doing for the brand, I'd love just one collection with a hint of the old McQueen darkness.

Burton it's doing the Modern Victorian/Romantic theme again? This woman can design something else? :ninja:

The print was crazy, I would never wear those. However, i find it was intricated collection.
