Alexander McQueen S/S 10 Paris

omg, those sheer ruffley naked dresses are amazing

with how disappoint some of the edgier designers have been in paris (yohji, mmm, etc) its really nice to see someone just kill it.

These shoes make the models look so wobbly, hilarious...

And I'm sorry, but the shoes are probably some of the most hideous things I have ever seen.

yeah i agree but in a certain way they're so horrible i cant help at staring and loving them, like an horror movie, you know what i mean? lol

Reminds me a lot of s/s 2009!!!Wow all looks just so so so scary...The make up,the hair, the clothes and those insane/freak shoes...Wow!And aah those snakes-everywhere...eww

For those who keep making Star Trek/sci-fi/alien comments, the inspiration for the collection was actually the idea that we came from the sea and that we shall also return.
The collection was also titled Plato's Atlantis.

So, while the pieces do look very alien and very space age, I guess they are supposed to be reminiscent of/inspired by deep-sea creatures.

my boyfriend described the shoes as 'alien hooves' which I think is appropriate. I actually don't think the shoes would be uncomfortable. Clearly there is some kind of interior shoe. The difficulty would be rectifying the extra height in your mind with feeling you were walking in regular 4" heels.

Anyway, the shoes are LOVE  Amazing detailing on them and a great way of taking a bondage style shoe to a wearable fashion level. I can't even look at the clothes because I love the shoes

The shoes are outta' this world. Literally.

speaking of creature from deep sea...
