The way he puts his stuff together makes the clothes look overdone and over thought. I'm not the biggest fan since it's all so 1980s and for that reason. Individually some of the pieces look fine- and I already really like the accessories. Isabeli's dress and Liu's vest look good.

On the plus side, it's nice to see him trying something slightly different than his normal clubby downtown shtick. But I've always felt that his whole aesthetic was very forced-cool, as in trying way too hard to be random and effortless instead of just being random and effortless, but by his standards this is borderline kitschy on top of that.

I don't think I'll ever like his brand of dirty, borderline sleazy hipness. The way I see it, there's fashion dirty and then there's real dirty...I think he's much better at the latter than he intends to be. :ninja:

I really like this
Im not usually an Alexander Wang fan but i think he is taking steps forward.
Good to see him move away from the downtown girl/erin wasson look. Although I still see a bit of it here i think this collection for the most part is actually really good. Im sure girls will love the individual pieces

What the hell? Has he gone completely bonkers? Everything is so unflattering. How does he expect women to wear this garbage?

He needs to calm down and actually plan his next collection, because this looks horribly chaotic.

I give him full credit for at least showing something different than everyone else so far. At least it's causing as stir. I think the name is giving him a lot more credit than he should receive for this collection, but it's not like I hate it. There are some serious misses and some great individual pieces. I'm half-half so far. I'm thinking it might grow on me or I will grow to hate it.

Oh god, I agree with every single one of your words, Spike, especially the dirty part.
I only wish that this attempt to move on from the 80s hipster was his own but I see Templer written all over this collection, clearly he did what he could!, but it's weird how dominant Erin Wasson was, then McKimm and now Templer.. what if he'd work with Panos next, or even Coddington?, would we see drastic changes only with a touch of 'dirtiness' to remember it's still him?.. someone's clearly relying too heavily on styling to mask mediocre clothing.. I wish I could say he won't get too far with that but then I remember we still have Marc Jacobs.. *sighs*

the thing is...i swear at some point (i think his first and his second season) I LOVED his stuff.

So in my case it's not the Wasson *fake-cool-biker-chic* look I have a problem with...i feel that his execution, and his consideration of his clothes has seriously declined...

Well, apparently, many people think he's the IT thing as there is already a lineup down the blk to get into his afterparty.

You have completely hit the nail on the head, for me at least. That is the reason why I have just never gotten what was so great about him. His hype has never really been about the clothes.

Oh dear what IS this? it's all over the place. and I agree with the above comments. his look is about styling and this time around it sucks

I'm a big fan of him but i'm not so sure with this collection maybe it's too complicated for me.

i've done a lot of hating on a. wang but i actually really like some of these pieces.

love those red stripe tshirts and the glasses, really cool but somehow I think Wang has gone too far...

This guy is touted like the next big thing but reality is he just another B grade designer and will always be one . These clothes are in no way different from the boring **** coming out of NYC , its the same body con dressing ,same 80s punk wh*re, the same blatant ripping of Balenciaga/Balmain/Givenchy of past seasons, he had the position to offer something different but he blew it. I can go to topshop right now and pick up the same kinda of shiat .
