Alexander Wang S/S 2017 New York

I didn't like it. I miss his old days when he was dressing women and not teens.

This looks like FOREVER 21.

On the one hand, I'm glad that post-Balenciaga Alex has quit trying to be a serious designer. He was never cut out for it, anyway. But on the other hand, I can't help but feel now that his shows - with their celebrity attendance and then the subsequent, infamous afterparties are a whole lot of hooplah for very little collection.

The opening section was good, then I completely lost interest in the scuba sportswear, and then he pulled it back when that lbd appeared.

Remembers the days when he actually, you know, designed clothes

I love Alexander Wang and i love that he stopped trying to be what he will never be. Spring 2016 was great but since then...

This is the level 0 of design. It's actually hard to believe that he spend weeks working on that.
A bit of Tom Ford for Gucci spring 2000, Azzedine Alaia & Isabel Marant.

What's the point of having a secondary line when you're mainline looks already like a secondary line?

love the start, the criss cross is awesome. i want one of those bralets.

but the fluro and lace, i mean, that is just pure trash

I used to really like Wang, but this collection is a no for me..

It's like a mix of his old collections. First outfits remind me of S/S 2014, I also see his S/S 2015 and S/S 2016 collections. And some bags remind me of F/W 2016.

This was fairly good for Wang. I love the overall the energy, Miami Vice, and 90s feel. I haven't look for Wang to deliver innovative design in while. But this was great for people who follow his brand and lifestyle.

wow, i honestly hate every single thing about this. i've never been a great fan of his, but there usually is a couple things i like... not here. the things i don't find hideous are so generic that are not even worth noting lol

the only thing about this collection that I like is this dress, the rest is just mediocrity at its best :rolleye:

That's what I was gonna say. For Wang, this is downright stellar. I love how laid-back it is, when Wang usually piles things on top of things to make them look cooler. It's irreverent, it's flattering (for once), and I just love everything about it.
