thats the first time i've heard that. i swear i've seen her childhood photos where she had brown hair...

Angelina has said in a few interviews that her mother dyed Angelina's hair dark brown when Angelina was very young and decided to keep it that way.

What? What publication is your source for that? I've never seen her with blond roots.

Something like half of all natural brunettes were blond as kids.

@Fabulyss: It's quote from her that's been floating around for years. This is as close as I could get to finding an actual source for it.

“My natural color is dark blonde,” Jolie told German magazine Das Neue. “But when I was four or five, my mother dyed my hair dark brown, and she decided to keep it that way. And I stuck with that.”

I first read it on imdb and it's been brought up a few times before on other sites.
For all I know, she may never have said it....but it does explain why Brad and Angelina's biological kids are SO blond.

brad was very blond as a child too. and shiloh hair has darken a lot.
i believe angelina is brunette. you can see her roots in some pictures.
her hair has darken over time like a lot of brunettes and like shiloh hair now.

Most children have light blond hair which develops into brunette with age, there are photos of her aged around 16 and her hair is dark. I was white blond up until 11 years old myself.

"We were going to dress Angelina Jolie and we had a choice of three gowns with us. When we got there, she said she wanted Brad to pick," she said.
