I was browsing onthecornerstyle blog and noticed some lovely looks from the streets of Buenos Aires so I figured we could ignore all the hipster nonsense for a while and focus on the rest of the population as they do elegance so well and the camera seems to love them just as much .
Are there many places to shop in Buenos Aires?, I mean interesting, deeply fashion-oriented shops, say the equivalent of creatures of comfort. I ask this because I've noticed Argentineans seem quite fond of their vintage goods, they pull them off amazingly well but I wonder if it's out of tradition or just plain necessity.

i dunno if this has been mentioned but the mens boutiques in BsAs are awesome - really the best city for fashionable men. love the colors, lots of pastel, very bright and cheerful. bags, shirts aplenty. great stuff.

the ladies too, i got two pairs of sandals. great quality leather!

I don´t have pics either. But I´ll try to get some from local magazines (they´ll be local celebrities, but still) to depict a bit of the local flavor.

Sometimes you find some girls with great style, but not easy to find in current mags...

Just for starters let´s throw in a pic of our greatest diva... Susana Gimenez. She´s our media queen, trendsetter for a large crowd, and forever blonde and liposucked. For those who don´t know her, think something like Oprah...
She´s portraying one of the main trends in the media soup: tight jeans, too-tight-everyting, über blonde strightish hair, and logos everywhere.

I´m just kidding, this is only to break the ice.

I´ll try to find some cool argentinian´s pics to impress the rest of the world...
