no, the braid is not purely decoration, because it´s the one that gives shape to this top and produces the "pockets" .. and the front is an entire piece..
without the braid, the fabric would just fall down..
u know what i mean?

that's wonderful
thanks ropi
i think that will be a unique feature when talking about the item :P
it makes it so much more interesting

yes i know ^_^
that was the "concept" :P how the line (braid) interferes on the plane (fabric) ^_^

Thanks, I'm not sure about the fabric either really ahah! It was a last minute thing, I had nothing to wear to my friend's party and whipped it up in a few hours. I'll probably make one in velvet.

fashionified your colour palette is super precise
did you dye some of the fabrics yourself?
did you also knit that one sweater? kind of like a lego/jigsaw design

Here's an outfit I designed for a recent uni show, the theme of the show was "Hektik Ethnik" and we had to choose a country/culture to design from. I chose South Africa as my inspiration.

i have to agree about the sandals for consistency of the theme, nonetheless the dress is gorgeous!

But, hey no copying, ripping off my ideas/designs isn’t cool.

New Skirt I made for myself for class if that makes sense.

Very cool, I like the pattern of the fabric, and the shape. I think it might look more slimming if the seam that is in the middle were not visible, or if it were placed on the side. :flower: But great job overall- I am starting to learn how to sew too, hope I can one day make a skirt as nice as yours!

Thanks :flower: I would do it in two seams but I wanted to cheveron the stripe which is only possible if you piece the fabric I got the stripe to line up all the way around it took a long time but was worth it

I made some turban style headbands.
