Oh lord, didn't we just have an 80's revival a few seasons ago? I don't want that decade to ever come back again. Why is he so obsessed with everything being big & boxy these days? There is no denying his creativity, but sometimes he misses the mark by a 100 miles.

This is just terrible, I wish he'd move on from this fascination with the ugly-ugly shapes and trash bag materials. The only person I ever see make ugly look good is Miuccia.

I think the first three looks are interesting, but then it deteriorates. The last ones are so decidedly 80s retro that it is a turn-off.

This is frightening and grotesque. Those are some of the worst animal print's I've ever seen, I would expect them to be front and center in a forever 21 window display.... in a mall. The crumpled leather looks like it's made of plastic and the tacky disco lame-esque fabrics are just unnecessary. This feels like late 80's Harlem which is nagl.

He's trying really hard to make this collection the worst possible with those shapes, materials, the horrid make up and the disgusting hair, no? This mess had to be intentional. I can't imagine anyone in the whole Balenciaga team would possibly think this could be desirable for any woman to wear. It's so awful! Leave the 'being ugly for the sake of being ugly' (as deer_st0p put it) to Miucca, Ghesquière is better off doing sleek clothes and using proper styling for his collections.

This is hilarious! Im laughing at this right now. The two hats in Look 2! Its beyond hilarity!

Seriously though is he running out of ideas? This seems to be trying awfully hard to be cutting-edge and innovative to me. Absolute failure in that regard.

Besides, this fabric selection is awful! Everything is unflattering and it looks terribly cheap; particularly those metallic / plastic / polyester monstrosities.

wow. are they trying to prove something? from the campaigns to the designs each season; this is super horrible. where has the luxury appeal gone?

I wonderered when this was going to appear..
Is that a bag over the last model's shoulder?
I can see models or the tall and thin sporting the patterned pieces in the last look, and even clashing them with other major patterns, (because the eighties are on their way back) but not with those shoes and definitely not with a pastel yellow turtle-neck .
Several of the pieces make me think of Diane von Furstenberg.. namely the coat in look #2.

All pieces in the papery fabric, the kitten heel stap boots, the zebra wedges and the leather matched with the metallic are the worst points. Most of it.

I can say I like the black leather skirt in the last look but really nothing else positive to say, its just an unflattering messy collection like SS12 was, and please god we dont need another 80s revival. Im nervous for the fw collection now if this is any indication.

Totally diabolical. This is the most disgustingly literal translation of the 1980s ever. He's even got the hats, the hair, the tacky prints and even the shapes of those leather pants. The whole thing is so outdated it's making me puke.

I mean, seriously, what must've happened to the Balenciaga creative team? WWD previews looking all over the place is one thing, but even a preview containing this already is another.

I sort of appreciate how literal this is trying to be but the result is disastrous. the fabrics and the styling are awful. what is going on with nicholas?
