Behnaz Sarafpour for Target

I'm disappointed with this line. It all looks like cheap party clothes. The t-shirts with the sequins were just plain tacky. I'm not into lace and frou-frou dresses so it's totally not my style. At least I can look foward to the next GO line. So far Behnaz ranks at the bottom for me behind Paul and Joe, Tara jarmon and Luella.
Same here. I'm glad, though, as I've already spent enough on GO things!

I definitely don't like it with the fake-jewel top they pair it with in the ads. :yuk:
Those fake jewel tops are horrible!! They look like something little girls might wear, while playing with their Barbies and My Little Ponies. What was she thinking?

^ I actually bought one of those jewel tops for my neice and she loves it!!...
She is 6 by the way.

I just got the brocade skirt I ordered today, and was trying it on in the ladies at the office. I really like it, especially that it has pockets, but I have questions on the fit and wanted to ask the forum. Is the skirt supposed to be similar to a bubble skirt in that is has a lot of volume? I got 2 sizes and both seem pretty big (I can't go lower in size), so I didn't know if the shape is puffy or if it is just me? Any insight?

i am so excited that the jeans have finally been up on the website! does anyone know what sizing is like? does it run small or large or true?
im a size 26 normally and the p&j for target jeans ran small and thanks to the lovely people here i bought a size 5 which fits me perfectly!

thanks :)

I was shopping at Target yesterday, not looking for clothes, but of course I always end up looking anyway.

Came across the Behnaz stuff, I had no expectations of what the stuff would look like and this is what I thought.

The Good:

- The dresses looked lovely and I did not try one on, but they would look very good on hourglass shaped females.
- I did like the 50's-60's vibe of the clothing.
- The short-sleeved voile shirts are very attractive, I bought one in ivory and one in black is on hold for me at another Target. They are nicer looking in person. Funny thing is I saw a woman wearing the black version when I was at work and I really wanted to ask her where she bought it, but we were busy.
- The black cardigan with lace and a dash of cashmere was very cute, I was so tempted to try it on.
- Several of the items were a better price then similar items from past Go lines.

The Bad:

- The black jeans were nothing special.
- The dress jackets while one was rather cute, they seemed a little too cropped, though I did not try them on. I'm positive the black velveteen one would attract more of my cat's white hair then my lint brush.
- I felt the jackets were overpriced and the capelet was silly.
- I tried on the black dress pants with lace on them, I knew I shouldn't because I could tell just by looking at them that the fit would look horrible on me. It was actually worse then I imagined and prompted me to leave a review on Target's website.

The Ugly:

- The t-shirts with jewels looked like something I could make at home with a $7 tee and a bedazzler. :innocent:
- The gold sateen blouse was nauseating, more so in person.

Amara loved your assessment!^_^ I, too, thought the short sleeve shirts you picked up looked nice. Those are something I'd also purchase if I had the need for them. Bedazzler!!

i am also planning on picking up the short sleeve cotton voile shirts. i think they will be similar in quality to the poppy print paul and joe shirts. i've washed my poppy shirt several times and it washes really well, doesnt wrinkle too much either.

I have just bought the white cardigan with the lace. It looks so great. It makes my outfit so pulled together when I wear it with jeans! I'm still into the tee, maybe its because I've never had a bedazzler.

The cotton voile shirts are very nice - the fit is perfect and they look so cute tucked into skirts. I love their puffed sleeves and Peter Pan collars. And you're right, they are very similar to the Paul & Joe blouses, but they are a little bit longer, so they don't come untucked as easily.

Just bought the velvet babydoll dress and the animal print henley... we'll see how those are...

i'm already against this..

I am definitely glad that refined accesible design is available to more consumers through her approach to the market, it's an all around wonderful development in fashion and I definitely hope to see more Bryant Park designers showcasing their talent in the ever growing middle consumer market...

Let's see those design skills and knowledge of the global community tested in Bangladesh and beyond, it's the fun of design!

Cheers for Behnaz, and I love her ability to land deals in continuos form with everyone from Tiffany's to computer manufacturers to support her needy wardrobe design habit...

I tried on the brocade skirt for my husband, who told me that it made me look like I was pregnant, and that the bubble, cocoon look was not for me. Oh well, looks like I will be rerturning them, as my husband is pretty good about fashion and was just being honest. :(

Gotta love the honest DHs!^_^
Mine said something similar about a Luella shirt I had purchased, only I had already cut the tags and it was too late to return it.
Well, now you have that money for something better.;)

My local target had very little.. but I did like the brocade skirt. I didn't buy it however, since it was longer than I wanted. And I do think it ran big, as i'm usually a US 7 in those GO INTERNATIONAL clothes and even the US 5 could have been taken in a bit. Not impressed by the collection. I need to be OVERWHELMED by the next GO INTERNATIONAL!

Hi! silly me, I got to excited and overlooked your post. I live in Singapore but I ship the stuff I buy online (Target, eBay) to my friend in Hawaii who then cosolidates everything and ship them to me in a nice big box ;). I managed to snag the white lace and animal shirt so Im slightly comforted. Im still waiting for the bracelet and duffel to become available online again! I emailed CS and they replied with a: "I’m sorry, but we don’t currently have the item you’re looking for on Target.com." Bummer. Do you know if they'd pop up again? :flower:

Btw, there isnt a single Target store in Hawaii!

Hey TrixX! It was rather a coincidence to see that you live in Singapore, as that is where I'm from as well! I live in the US now (Michigan, to be more specific) but I come back to S'pore often (next trip is in December). Let me know if you need anything - I'm a regular Target shopper! :) P.S: Random question: how'd you even hear of Target over there? No one in my family even knows what it is, when I mention it!

luvmelots1983: What a small world! I have relations in the states and i used to visit them alot when i was younger but we hevent been in touch for a while and im too shy to ask them for favours. thank you SO MUCH for the offer, Ill PM yu now :woot: :woot: :woot:

I am home sick from work today, so I decided to take a field trip to Target to return some of the items I bought online and see what they have in stock. In case you are in DC, the target in Alexandria/ Fairfax, on Route 1 SOUTH of the Beltway (not the one in Potomac Yard), had tons of Behnaz items. I got a real life look at that leopard coat, and I am not a fan at all. Too bad, I was hoping it would be super cute. They had the jeans, skirts, tops, sweaters, dresses, etc, everything except the accessories. I was kind of disappointed to see the items, I had such high expectations. I think the items are well made for the money, just not my type. I personally was happier with the Paul & Joe collection. Oh well.

I bought the t-shirt with the lace overlay and I really like it. The fit is cute and I am excited to wear it for the holidays:) Everything else I am definitely passing on.
