well shes styling herself in a very very atriciously euro-centric way and she looks noticably more pale in complexion. Besides her cousin, i donts see her around other black women, i believe Beyonce is intimidated of them.

I'm sorry, but all the women who were ever part of destiny's child were beautiful strong black women.. And I'm pretty sure that over half of the women in her all-girl band are black.. So that's not a fair comment and I think the debate on her light skin colour should be left for the gossip thread...

To get back on topic though, she looked stunning at the game! I love her hair and make up!

Black people can get pale too in the winter. And she just went out with Kelly and Michelle a few days ago. And its like you're saying black people should dress a curtain way.

Btw, she looks gorgeous at the All star game! Love everything that she wore.

That is so confusing; is it just makeup when a black person does it but it's insulting blackface when they use a white model to do it. Is it wrong in both cases, wrong in 1 instance or it shouldn't be an issue at all since it's just a makeup and styling decision in this post racial world.

Confusing.

Exactly, all of those thoughts came to my mind. I think we don't live in a post-racial world though

The more and more I look at it, I hate her current hair. It looks cheap and gaudy to me.

What Divorce Rumors?

beyoncejayzcourtside.jpg

Those string of whispers that came floating out of the basement window about Beyonce and Jay-Z's marriage being as dead as Tina Knowles' fashion sense were snuffed out last night when the two nibbled on a pretzel together at the Lakers some game in L.A. But I'm still sensing trouble in wig paradise... A hot minute after Pete Wentz let the woolly mammoth rise from his head, Ashlee Simpson dropped divorce papers in the slot and moved the hell on. And now Jay-Z is doing the same thing. It takes a few tubs of caramel tinted caulk, 4 contractors and a permit from the city to get Beyonce's make-up on in the morning, and Jay-Z could easily remove one layer of paint by accidentally brushing his head against her face. Jay-Z better tame that shi* if he wants to keep his marriage right.

And I love that Beyonce is wearing LIP SYNC FOR YOUR LIFE shoes at a basketball game.

The 29-year-old entertainer indulged in some retail therapy after a jam-packed weekend.

On Saturday, Bey helped co-host the Gucci and Roc Nation Pre-Grammy Brunch with husband Jay-Z, where she met up with Rihanna.

The next day, she attended the Grammy Awards and sat next to pal Gwyneth Paltrow at the ceremony!

The night before, Beyonce attended the Two King’s party thrown by Jay-Z and Lebron James. The party invited various sports athletes and celebrities to recognize and honor their charity works for underprivileged children.

FYI: Beyonce is wearing a pair of J Brand “901” coated leggings in Grey Viper and Bavna earrings.

From L'Officiel interview:
Where did the African theme come from?

The Broadway play about Fela Kuti's life and music has been such a great inspiration, it left me totally in awe.
I would've loved to have been on stage with him performing with all those tambourines, colors & sexy ladies baring their soul.
It's the same feeling I have when I'm on stage. Which is why it's a big inspiration for the new album.
There are different arrangements, that you wouldn't usually find on a pop song.
I swear that when L'officieel approached me to do the shoot, 60 to 70% of the images they presented were similar to
the images I had already collected as inspiration for my album.
I'm elated that I can represent my heritage. that's Royal.

I can't wait! Its going to be insane! :D

or maybe she's just inspired by the music, considering that Jay-z was one of the producers for the Fela Kuti musical that was put on a while ago

everything doesn't have to be about "beyonce being too white and trying to claim her people" gosh it's annoying. sometimes I agree but people go overboard sometimes. she is still very much a black woman
