Burberry Prorsum S/S 07 Milan

Kinda weird on the body. But for some reason I like the pink skirt that Donaldson is wearing.

Really dislike this collection. Why bother doing an uglier version of a dated blend of Balenciaga/Chloe/Prada?:ninja:

i like it very much. reminds me a bit of prada's luxury but the texture's their own. i like this even though they've done better in previous outings imo.

Those PETA people really make me angry. How the hell do they get in? Really, I wan't to know, if I could do that, I would just keep quiet an enjoy they show.

I don't understand how the fashion industry, supposed to be filled with forward thinkers and revolutionaries, can use such an outdated and barbaric practice. Fur isn't necessary and I'm always confused when I see these designers use something so cruel and passe.

Use something else! Be innovative!

while i am not of the staunchiest supporters of using furs as details in clothing, i do have to disagree. Fur sometimes IS necessary, in colder regions such as north Russia, Scandinavia, Alaska, Canada - natural fur is the ONLY thing that keeps you warm in an inhumanely cold weather.

WHO are these models?!?

they're all so bloody interchangeable. GOD it's boring!

As for the clothes -- they're perfectly elegant and wonderful. Love the cuts, the textures. It's all gorgeous. I'd marvel at any woman wearing these pieces.

seriously how do they get in? I mean there aren't many ways to hide a huge white poster. BTW- where's Gemma?

I love all the clothes, they are so Burberry! What's wrong with the sleeves?they look ok to me. I love the metallic touch especially and the coats with bell sleeves.

after looking at the whole collection, i'm impressed. it may not be original and new, but it is good. tons of the looks were smart and very well put together. and the belted shift at the end with the feather skirt was really great, imo (i see it in many editorials next spring)

as for accesories, i thought sometimes the necklaces looked out of place, but the silver sandals are perfect, as is the huge slouch bag in nude patent. the boots, although nice, seemed to throw me off a bit. i almost wish they had just done different variations on the silver sandal instead.

The Peta lady is actually quite fashionable ^_^
Just what I thought when I saw the pic ^_^

I like this collection. Some of it.
It's very winter-ish.

Really boring, Really vintage, the ruffled sleeve idea looks yucky. There is nothing that reflects currency.

Perhaps I am not the only one but I am getting a lot of humor in these clothes. It totally reminds me of cheesy late 60's clothing. The kind you would expect from a prim housewife or secretary. I think of Jackie O' but also astro turf lawns and 5 o'clock cocktails. I take this in as a postive, it's a really fun collection.

I know what you mean actually.... in fact I think this collection is a nod to that whole Doris Day movie genre (think Down With Love) - all the pastel metallic fabrics.
I don't think Christopher Bailey takes that much inspiration from British heritage (or maybe he thinks he does?) but I don't think Burberry Prorsum needs to be that twee quintessentially British label anyway. Like Helena said though, it can be hard to determine what does Burberry stand for and right now I still think it's still trying to find it's identity.
I don't agree that Bailey needs to get uber original or go straight for cutting edge because that's kind out of step brand-wise, but I always thought he could take that British early twentieth century artistocratic vibe and mix it up with more modern elements.
