Okay, so I loved the balenciaga cargo's when they came out and there are two up on ebay right now that I think I might be able to swing my dad to buy for me but I'm not sure which ones I like better.

The navy:

or the light blue:

Pro's and Cons:
Navy blue might be a tighter fit but I think the navy blue color is easier to match tops too.
Light blue is simpler (which I like) but they might end up being more expensive.

Give me feedback please!!! :flower:

I like the lighter blue better... But it depends if you want a tight fit or a looser fit...

I would go with the navy..

well I think I like the light blue better...so I'm going to watch bidding for that tomorrow. no one bid on the navy balenciaga so we'll see. I'm worried the navy would be too heavy in terms of so much going on that it would make me look heavy.

i like the darker ones better mehg...but it HAS to be a loose fit...so if you think they might be snug...go for the others...

i agree...i really like them...but i thought the price is ridiculous for what is essentially a cargo pant...i don't know what the ebay price will be of course...

i got a similar pair by marni and am beside myself with joy...they are so cute and go with everything... :flower:

yeah thats why. I'm sort of envisioning wearing the light blue ones with a skinny tee and a cropped denim. i don't want them to be tight at all. The ebay ones that I didn't get were 179 USD and the light blue have one bid at 200 USD.

you think? Didn't they retail for around 1500? How much were your marni ones if you don't mind me asking?

not at all-$133...but they only retailed for around $500 or so...

even if the balenciaga's retailed for $1500...does that mean they were WORTH $1500?!?!?!...
i don't think so...especially when there were so many knock-offs at places like urban outfitters...
$200 isn't crazy...but i wouldn't go higher...

Not to be negative but cargo pants are kind of passe at this point. :flower:

When you have places like Urban Outfitters selling them then the chicness factor has worn off.

haha no negatively taken but quite frankly I don't ever think cargo pants were ever really a 'trendy' thing. they have always been around. yeah i agree softie about the price thing-esp. balenciaga. notoriously high priced.

I recall the Balenciaga ones being the "It" thing to have at one point. Much like the Celine bullet belt.

that is such a victim point of view...i wore cargo pants before balenciaga did them...not BECAUSE balenciaga did them...and i will continue to wear them as long as i like them...not until balenciaga stops making them... :P

i can think for myself thank you... :flower:

As someone who is a follower of Anna Piaggi's, and Isabella Blow's various fashions, among other things, I really don't think I can, and like to be termed as a "victim." And being a boy as well.

i'm not sure what being a boy has to do with it...but if you're a happy victim...then good for you...it's people like you that keep the fashion industry in business...

personally...i don't follow...i'm usually at least a year ahead....sometimes more... :innocent:

I am just saying that usually boys are less to follow Piaggi et al, and take different approaches in outer appearences, etc.

Personally I don't know if I qualify as a "happy victim" but I certainly don't adhere to one designer, company. Besides I am not a logo wh*re, or whatever other ridiculous term. If perhaps a fashionista.

It's people on this forum who keep the fashion industry in business.

Besides that men's fashions do not have trends per se. One of my heroes of dandyism is Salvador Dali.

Absolutely divine.

Wear what you want... but I'm not particularly sure about either of those colors.

all of the people you mentioned are very individual and certainly don't follow trends...so i'm not sure i am understanding what you mean...they would certainly not care if something was considered chic or passe...they would wear whatever the hell they like...so they are certainly not 'victims' or 'followers'...i think there is a language issue...sorry...i'm not sure we're talkiing about the same thing... :flower:
