As the shows in NYC continue, this should be the right place to do our aftermath on what we're seeing or looks like a potential trend for either upcoming shows or upcoming seasons.. remember there are still three cities to come (London, Milan and Paris) and sometimes what we spot in one city, completely vanishes in the remaining three.. so I think this is a safe place to start gathering information, and to avoid starting trends on what looks promising today.. but could be completely random by the next day.

I noticed a lot of horizontal stripes (below DKNY and Michael Kors) and I liked seeing the carry over from fall of the checkered patterns (marc by marc jacobs). Images from style.com

Colorwise a repeat of S/S 07 ?

Blue is still a force to be reconned with..
ditto for yellow

A lot of electric yellow but also some mustard colored pieces . . .

color blocking , 70s , 40s and some 50s . Its safe to say the mod / big top small bottom look is dead and everything is about the waist

i've been noticing a lot of the same too...
the blues, the yellows.. some of the purples as well..

also still seeing lots of exposed zippers..

and lots of wide-legged pants on the runways as well..

For London, I'd have to say modern fabrics mixed together with less modern. Then you have transparency all over the place, but done in a modern way: pleated see through skirts and blouses.
