the melrose IMO has nothing to do with the original cabas. for me it is not interesting at all and is quite "old" compared to the cabas 06 and 07

Also, I was hoping the distressed lambskin is more resistant to scratching (versus the normal lambskin). Can anyone share their experience?

It's definitely real, it's $500 above what it retialed when it just came out so the price isnt bad. I havent had any problems with the leather, it hides tiny scratches well.

also, getting a work bonus soon...

^unfortunately the baby cabas is not produced anymore for 2008.
But you can try your luck and see if there's any left in stores... or eBay.

Ok you gys want to know how bad my luck is- and how angry I am

FIRST
The COCO CABAS I won from ebay - well, DHL LOST IT- YES. PARIS DHL ARE THE WORST IN THE WORLD- They had no apologies, they keep on giving me a different excuse everyday- one day customs, the next in the truck, the next, they cant find it, , They asked me to call back wednesday but besides that- they cant find it- they said some packages lost their stickers (how is that possible)- i tink someone stole it- the person I bought it fromdidnt insure it- so does that mean I lose my $2200?? what should I do?!! IM SO MAD.

SECOND. I just arrived to NYC- I bought a few of my handbags with me (in the suitcass), one of them was a very beloved baby blue jersey classic flap with gold chains, It was my first chanelbag- I bought it in 2002- well, everything has been unpacked and I CANT FIND IT.
I did not forget it back home because I called a friend and she looked everywhere in my place and she didnt find it- and im 100% sure i packed it. SOMEONE STOLE IT.

Need I say more? Im soo depressed about this

if its lost i believe in people evil eyeing me and funnily enough just after i get that feeling, something of the likes does happen.
so i say, it must have happened. it was bound to happen.... even if it is frustrating.
i would however, write a complaint!
dont worry about the jersey one. i am sure another one will pop up some day just for you
and for the coco cabas, dont give up hope. they might still find and deliver it ?

ok kids... i am a reiki master... leyla, you need to protect yourself with white light when you get that "feeling". embrace your own power, dont let someone else take it way from you. trust the universe.

unique, did you pay paypal with a credit card? you may be able to get reimbursed by your own credit card company for a lost item within 90 days of purchase. call and check. next, it is xmas chaos right now, think positively and it may turn up later this week...
and lastly, your homeowners policy may be able to reimburse you for chanel bag. check with your agent when you are home. the price is probably more than your deductible. also, make a claim with your airline, they may claim no responsiblitiy, but you may be able to get money vouchers to use towards future flights. good luck.

UNiQFashionista, I am so sorry...that sounds even worse than my trip from Chicago...

As for the Coco Cabas, I think your credit card company should be able to help you out, if you paid with a CC... My friend had the same experience and her AMEX was able to help. Do press DHL very hard though...I have had a package that turned out 6 months later...

so sorry uniq!! I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to loose TWO bags. You should try to forget about it as much as you can and enjoy the holidays, your time in NY, and the coming baby. I also get worked up about clothes and bags sometimes (I'm moving soon and have no furniture, so that mens no clothes for at least 6 months ) but then I remember it's really not so important. We both have lots of other bags and many future opportunities to get better bags so we'll still look beautiful!

still no word- the seller did give me a tracking number, last thing was tracked on december 18th at 8am-saying it cleared customs and is on the truck- we talked to dhl yesterday thy said they dont know where it went, and that they will check their cameras- whatever- i cant believe dhl...im soo mad............

yes, last week they couldn't find my 2000 euro worth delivery from mytheresa.com, although I had info from their official site that the package has arrived, again they said - it's not here, it hadn't arrived, we hadn't scanned all the packages... I sent a friend to look at their delivery spot at the airport again - nothing, He said the there were tons of people searching for their deliveries. So I started calling their boss- nothing - at the and, just when their boss was assuring me that my delivery had not arrived, it turned out that my package was delivered to my address - but nobody knew!
Also they didn't work - during Christmas - 5 days - just when everybody is expecting deliveries!
