Chanel S/S 2013 Paris

The mini hula-hoop bag and Lego block clutch are incredible! I need the Lego brick clutch! Stunning, stunning collection!

Quite an imporvement compared to previous seasons! There are still quite a few misses here, but overall I like it.

There's so much fug in this collection, I cant even...The hula-hoop bag and the lego clutch however are produced by a pure stroke of immaculate genius. Accessories of the season. Kudos!

Is it just me or does everything just look BIG? It looked like the models were drowning in the clothes.

i actually really like this. The clothes are good, but the accessories are what really define this collection. Its very great.

It just feels so refreshing which I think is something the house sorely needed. I hated last season and I didn't much care for the season before so this looks a lot better to me. The white pieces with floral embroidery are my favorite, as are the little dresses. I do agree with some others who say it's a bit long and needs more coherence (something a lot of designers this season haven't been following) but I still really like it :)

I feel like, somewhere, Yves Saint Laurent is having a chuckle at seeing Karl losing it the same way he did.

I don't care for the clothes, the flower part is sort of decent if we ignore it's barely a part as they're 3-4 looks in a collection of over 50. The shoes are pretty unfortunate.. Céline's slippers received so much criticism this week (and rightly so) but fast forward 10 years from now and they'll still look weird, the platforms shown here on the other hand were quirky in 1996, then everyone's fashion mistake, and history will repeat itself. The collection in general's packed with gimmicks and too many pieces that will not survive time no matter how Chanel it all is.

I loved this season's collection, but mostly because I was like "eh" to a few of the recent season's collections.

I felt a bit overwhelmed by all the different looks, and there are a few that are butt-ugly, but overall I love it! :flower:

The mini-hula-hoop bag is so cute!

First time ever I dont know whether I like or dislike this collection. This is going to take some time to digest.

PS that oversize bag is bonkers.

This bag is truly an artform. This is how this collection is gonna be remembered. And it has single handendly given me hope about Karl, which i had seemed to lose prior to this.

^IMO it'll be remembered as just one of senile Karl's ridiculous prop/accessories.

I respect your opinion very much, and yes, some people might not like it. But for me personaly; its so, "summering in the south of france on my private yacht". idk lol i just absolutly love it!

I think the size is primarily what makes it ridiculous. Make it smaller and it will be remembered in history for being stylish and somewhat practical. :D

People citing his age as the cause for a bad collection sound a little, ugh, ageist...senile? really?

While I appreciate the last 5 floral looks and find the veiled hats to be quite romantic most of the collection just isn't my taste. The hula hoop bag is a complete joke - right along with those distracting necklaces and bracelets. I appreciate the environmentally friendly message but feel that it could've been better conveyed through a less clinical venue (I find that the solar panel inspiration works surprisingly well on Ava Smith's strapless dress, though.)

I love this collection, very youthful and edgy. Some pieces look promising to me while some are pretty boring.

I will admit that the flower dresses at the end are so pretty it hurts BUT... the majority of the clothes here are just downright boring and ugly. How does he create a fabulous collection over at Fendi and then dare to send this down the runway? Chanel just aint what it used to be.

The accessories, however, are to die for. Those block clutches are just about the best thing I've seen all season.

I love it

Your last sentence could describe Chanel for the past 5 years or more probably imo.

His best so far ever since 2010? but not his strongest ever since! What I love about this is how this entire collection stands on its own. Unlike that last collection where they all look utterly the same. I love how the essence of tweed was retained but it was taken into a new level. I love the lightness this collection gives off, and the youngness and vibrance it has. The last floral dresses were amazing!! The rest was beautiful! and the hats!!
