Chloé F/W 06.07 Paris

Did the team design 06 aw for Phoebe?...a little bit touch of a Boho motherhood. I like the summer better, this col has a few sense of Marni.

They did great shoes again..even they're sooooooo high...as reach the heaven.

you know what? *sigh*:innocent: i just might go to the "who you would like to smack today" thread and write that i'd like to punch Sarah Mower in the face!:furious:

you give chloe an absolutely rutheless review, but praise the likes of cavalli? well, excuuuuse me!

my opinion still stands, this was exactly the direction that phoebe philo was taking in the spring collection, i have no doubt that under her creative vison it would have looked very similar.

mower wouldn't know good fashion if it mugged her on the street!

the girl on her knees:cry: i wish i could give her karma

aw! you are so sweet! i second that :)

so on the collection...there seem to be some very sweet short frilly dresses. however, some of the looks are reminiscent of dr. evil or a grandmother. does anyone else think it's a little dowdy? i like slouchy pants, but these are a bit off.

i agree with you pastry, i can definitely see the phoebe philo vision in there. but phoebe philo kept it chic-er...imo the pants and some dresses etc. are just cut slightly wrong. phoebe philo's work worked because she made some things, like very slouchy pants and tops, very fashionista and NOT dowdy. i think you can see that her talent is missing here, even though overall the collection is fine.

^ definitely not deserving the awful review though! gosh..why am i so worked up? it's just a silly style.com review, it doesn't even count

just a review, just a review....:p

that style.com reviewer is smoking something.
okay, so the clothes aren't exactly...coherent as a cohesive collection, but the pieces themselves are gorgeous!

This collection really broke my heart, I'm devastating...
I didn't like the previous one (s/s06) and I think this is exactly a copy of those pieces...you can actually do the comparation, and it's the same, in the shapes and colors, and also the fabrics.
The accesories were a blef, they are the same as the s/s06. And those shoes are nice but unwearable I think, even Phoebe looked stupid wearing them don't you think?
And I agree that if the clothes looks dumpy in the models, can you imagine in real people!!!
I do believe that there is few work involved, they don't seem to be working hard in this...I prefer the older version of chloé, I mean what you can call comercial Phoebe.

I'm new to posting and everything...so hello to everybody...

It's very...Marc Jacobs?

So far I like most of what I see though.
Yes totally. it was so Marc Jacobs. I saw it, and then I thought"I want this". But I then realized that Marc made the same thing. I am sure Chloe charges more though

looks like lily donaldson to me...

the shoes are really great:blush:

If a model can fall on runway, i am afraid that regular people will have a hard time walking in those shoes...:(

I think chloe needs some cleanup work. They have been showing similar pieces for at least 4 seasons so far. The review from style.com is harsh, but it's honest. They need somebody to guide the direction amid those different ideas. Now the colleciton looks like a fusion but for a brand like Chloe, it needs a clear image.

definitely not worth silly style.com's review, but it's not an amazing collection. they need a new head designer with vision. the team made some nice pieces, but it honestly does look a lot like s/s 06 in some darker colors.

what's crazy is if you compare it to like chloé f/w 04...it's like a totally different world. 04 was slightly slouchy and chic, this is just slouchy and...slouchy.

Sarah Mower was harsh and as much as I DO like this collection she had a point. There were some brilliant moments in this collection but it went too far with the babydoll/slouchy/big volume look and some of it looks quite bad. Reminds me of Stella Mcartney actually.

After seeing the whole collection, I'm really unimpressed except for the shoes.

Pastry, i agree with you that if Philo designed this collection, it would look very similar to what the team did. style.com (Mower, actually) needs to find something else to put their blame on.

i like quite a few looks from this collection...the dress that Stam was wearing when she fell
(i know, ) and both the dresses that Vlada wore. also, i thought the grey top Dunstall wore was really cute :flower:

Some of it is nice, but not fabulous which is what you expect from Chloe.

Poor Stammy. I'm glad she is ok!

i think the shoes are adorable and remind me of vivienne westwood....
i like the COVERED platform idea...
is always takes away the 'chunkiness' of a platform and makes it more refined...imo...
but i don't think platforms are exactly 'practical' EVER...^_^...
maybe ok for a party or something...
where you don't have to walk around or stand much......
but that is also true for 4" stilettos...
:p

***ok- so it's VERY inconsistent...
there is still a LOT about this collection to love...
some of the bolder and more graphic shapes are really modern and clean..
strengths are dresses and coats/jkt IMO...

**i think this will be a season for dresses and coats/jackets overall...
:flower:

hey, softgrey...

be sure to drop a line if you go to the trunk show..not a luxury i get here..:(
dammit...:p

i completely agree with softgrey.

i like the collection, there are so many pretty pieces.

f::ck
i sweat all night over sewing machine for this
i mean, not that i do
but if i could

days of slash pocket long gone
i blame stam for falling intentionally
crazy act of courage in face of pleatless ness

who were those 3 people at end of show?
as i said f&&k

anyway
gotta go
just cause

OT-
i am so glad that kus is posting more often these days...

i have no idea what he is talking about 1/2 the time...
but it is always something entertaining....
and somehow thoughtful in a really random way...

like abstract poetry...

:p..........................................

...

soft, I was thinking the excact same thing about them looking like viv. westwood!
